I called up yesterday, hence my rant above 😂
was paying £36 a month for 250Mb after price increases etc. Seen the new customer deal of 250Mb for £17 pm.
Went round the houses with them kicking off as the best solution they could offer me to my saying £36 is too expensive was a package with an...
I dont understand why they cant make a change for consumers like they did with car insurance where you cant offer cheaper deals to new customers than you can existing customers.
Surely its better for the consumer as everyone gets a fair price
Its better for the companies as they don't need all...
The powerflex bushes completely solve the issue with excess movement but add in all the vibration that the rubber is there to solve.
Never tried the silicon method but it may be a good half way house.
As above genuine replacement is a good solution but IMO it's worth doing at the same time as...
Sounds like clutch release bearing on the clutch if it's a MK2? A 2006 could be either a 2 or a 3!
Lots of blue smoke could be the turbo on its way out but the car may just be needing a good run, 80 miles is a good distance but possibly not a lot of load.
Worth giving the egr valve a clean out...
Got some replacement centre caps for the wheels, they will be going for a refurb in gold, a throwback to Ali G's 5GTT which had the same wheels 😂
Exhaust blow is all sorted now and she's running sweet!
Anyone know a solution for getting the ABS, STOP and SERV lights off as it's throwing a...
I negotiated a SIM only deal when 4g with unlimited data was a fairly new thing so they were ££££ after ages in the phone I had a plan which was about £60 but they had put through discounts, so my bill looked like
Plan £60
Upgrade discount -5

Yeah I agree, I've got a decent set of pads on my 197 and they are very good, but I've had similar performance from single piston calipers. Very light if your a good enough driver to make the most of less unsprung weight but I'm not lol
I found the brakes on mine were better than the 197/200 Brembos on the car it replaced, not sure on the size difference between them but they looked huge!
If it's the same as the process on a MK2 then you will need the dashboard switch, the steering squib, wheel/airbag with buttons, clutch and brake pedal switches then may or may not need to configure it in Clip depending on how the car is setup (on the MK2 RS cars don't need config but non RS...
£50 and a crate of stella is a good deal! its a nice easy job on that engine right enough, first timing belt i done was a D4F and its a good one to start with! few months later i moved onto the F4R!
The ticking sounds normal, but the odd uneven noise sounds like a bearing on the rotation side, id put my cash on the water pump, for all it costs id get the timing belt and water pump changed and make sure they change the aux tensioner/roller too.
not done much with this yet, but realised that CSF is approaching fast and this is probably the car closest to being fixed so need to get a move on to take it!!
Had a small leak from the thermostat housing that i couldn't see for the airbox so finally found it, replaced it and awaiting more...
DONT FORGET IF YOU HAVE A DODGY MOT YOUR INSURANCE IS INVALID AND IF YOU GET CAUGHT YOU WILL BE PUNISHED SEVERELY*
*The club members, who never forget, will disown you, and never like another post, ever again.
given the hassle you had with the relatively straight forward job id get it to a specialist to fit the new squib, how did you manage to get the steering wheel off centre? its a keyed spline?!
