My 220 trophy stopped way better than any of my 197/200s ever did I felt!
The brembos do look good, pad choice is good and there's a big saving in unsprung weight!
My Mégane 205 runs the same brakes and they are equally as good!
Normal with cheap motor factor springs, this is why the genuine ones have a rubber cover over the bottom few coils, you will be getting knocking over bumps etc
only pic i could find, you can see the rubber cover
requires a regas, thats all your hissing is, as above take it to a specialist who will leak test it, drain it and regas it with fresh gas and oil. At that age its probably worth sticking a condenser on it for all they cost
i use the proline 6 hose kit https://www.prolinebraidedlines.com/products/renault-clio-mk2-sport-172-182-6-line-braided-brake-line-kit-inc-rear-axle-lines
But that looks like a nicer solution above where its just one set of hoses from the car to the rear callipers doing away with the small car...
as above, if possible id just run it for a few days and get it low so when you next use it you can just go add some fresh fuel but tbh especially for only a year I wouldn't worry about it, I've left cars for several years and they fire straight up with no issue
I've been doing a lot of miles with work and I sold my Daily driver and its replacement was delayed so the RSI went into daily usage for a couple of weeks, While I'm not that fussed about what people think, I did feel I was a bit old for arriving at work with gold wheels, And Ali G's wheels at...
Made since the vehicle has been built means you DO NOT have to declare optional extras.
If you look at the wording direct line use in comparison, they want options declared.
It was always the case with all insurers and the question specifically said any modifications or factory optional extras but it seems some now include this as standard for extras.
Extreme example but if I insure a Mégane trophy R, someone runs into the front corner and destroys my optional...
Technically they are all optional extras which are supposed to be declared. However I think that's a very strict thing for them to enforce. Especially when the cars not new, how is anyone supposed to know exactly what options a 15yr old car had from the factory
£400 iirc
paid £700 odd for a 172 cup too
Agreed to buy this for £1000, drive 5 miles home to get someone to come with me and collect it and the guy phoned me back saying he needed more money for it, What you looking for i asked.... £1050 haha
Just as well it's not a 197 you have, imagine the extra weight of driving about with 2 front hubs, a gearbox, exhaust manifold and Mick from diamond motors in the boot....
Totally normal on that engine its just condensation in the plastic rocker cover.
Looks like that radiator has been leaking for a while and its been getting topped up with water, id want to change the radiator, waterpump, flush the system and fresh coolant (may as well stick a coolant bottle on...
Pictures like this make me really really excited. Love fitting loads of parts to my worthless car then updating my spreadsheet!!!
Love that DCI's just go forever, my Mrs has a 2021 DCI just as they discontinued them in the UK, I don't know what I could ever replace it with :ROFLMAO:
