I'm not a massive v8 lover either, unless it revs over 8k. Georg plasa's judd v8 was imo one of the best sounding v8's ever. Massive induction then screaming like a v10 f1 car. My idea of motoring heaven. The rs3 with straight through does sound awesome. Prefer 6cylinder though.

An xdrive would be awesome. My mates 135i coupe struggled to put the power down in anything but bone dry.

What is the power output on these? 340bhp? The m135i was 320bhp is it?

There is one decatted that hammers it regularly through the village with the sound bouncing off the houses. In fairness they sound immense. I thought it had a hint of 6 cylinder about it, similar to a GT-R. Shame they are driven generally by idiots.

A guy I work with had a r34 gtr that was 800 to the wheels. Said it was mental fast. f**k knows what 1000 with 300hp shot of nitrous is like. Painful I would imagine. Feel like your being lifted out of your seat.

Don't know if this has been asked but how well are you expecting to be able to put the power down? and are you looking at 1000bhp at the fly or at the wheels?

So to feel physically fast it would need to be gutless until 3000rpm as apposed to maximum torque at 1750rpm? People say the c63 is brutal as it's torque comes on strong from very low down but doesn't have much more torque/tonne more than the rs3 really. I know the jag is a different beast but...

When you say doesn't feel that fast on the road, do you mean physically or perception of speed. Hear people say this all the time but don't always understand. Do you mean that you would expect to be glued to your seat with those numbers or that by the time you reach 100 you think your doing 70...

Interesting stuff. So do performance 4wd cars have front and rear duffs (as in lsd). Who can explain lsd's as I get confused by open/welded ect.
