Car is now on ebay for £8250. Sad to potentially let it go for this amount but the likelihood of me having the time to tinker or do a trackday is so slim.
Anyone that follows this thread surely knows this is quite a steal for whoever buys it!
Haha always the way. I suspect a relay based on that report, got millions here if you want any spares, all going in the bin otherwise.
Radio isn’t in the main can network so that would only be a strange coincidence.
12.8v is fine. I would try to get it plugged into CLIP as you may have a UCH imob code which needs clearing.
Methodically go through each fuse and check them, however, I would stress that any blown fuse generally indicates another issue which needs addressing.
Do you get any power to things...
Correct need an n3 UCH. Much cheaper to buy a whole ECU kit from a car in the UK, will be less than £50. UCH, ECU and key fobs makes up a whole kit.
seem to recall it being only one wire from the UCH up to the rain sensor plug but it goes through the r301 connector at the top of the dash so...
I won't say it's died because it hasn't but I changed jobs during my cup build so am a little down on time and actually not done anything on the cars recently because I'm working on the house! With that said there are one or two videos on the horizon :)
Still for sale everyone. Haven't driven a mile since going to Brands Hatch. Had it up for £10k but willing to listen to reasonable offers as I want to see the car go whole and used.
I changed my cup from no ABS to ABS because it's not obtrusive and saves your bacon when you need it the most. For me deleting ABS is one of those things done pretty frequently on track cars for no real reason other than to save a meaningless amount of weight to the amateur driver.
Thanks dude, very kind of you, it's a hoot!
Brands Hatch 5th August
Before the second outing of the year the Cup needed a few bits doing to bring it back up to spec. As a quick summary for those which haven't seen the last post, when I was at Snett on the shakedown the manifold to turbo gasket...
That was pretty nicely edited.
Not that I really have much input as my videos are pretty boring but agree with the above comments regarding length of the video. You really want to tell the story in the shortest time possible and have 0 waffle, be very harsh and ask yourself if each word you...
Videos on my car and build. The turbo element was about £2500. Changed to a hybrid paddle/organic RTS clutch from @Kev@KAM which more than adequately holds the power.

Few things I would check, if the dust boot is broken anywhere, if the piston is corroded, if the sliders freely move (is not rubber grease them), whether the caliper slider bolts are correctly torqued, if the pads can move freely in the carrier.
Likely to be the memory card. I've had this on go pros and other cameras when the card is up the creek.
My hero 8 freezes when I take it off charge and then runs its self out, very helpful.
My refurbished gopro certified hero 3 records the audio out of sync with the video by a random amount...
I also have this issue where my brakes just feel a bit wooden after only a couple of laps. I've got DS 1.11s but think it's the system limits. I find brake ducting and deflector plates help a lot.
Finally I put part three together!
Mart and I are booked onto a Brands Hatch evening on 5th August. I had the tracking done again on Saturday and have a few small jobs like changing the pads and re-clamping the CV boot but other than that it's good to go.
Looking forward to testing out the new...
Definitely injectors goosed or high pressure fuel pump on the way out. This was the first symptom I had of my cars eventual death.
As above, do a leak off test on all injectors and also drain the fuel filter (plug on bottom) and inspect for metal filings. If no metal then invest in injectors...
I know it's not a clio but as we know everyone here owns BMWs these days.
I need to PPF the roof on my car as it's currently immaculate but I do a lot of MTB and the roof on the clio got pretty scratched with all the mud coming off, especially during winter.
Want to do it myself. Can anyone...
Nope you can see them under the dash.
I would take out the wiper motor and then you can remove the couple of bolts which hold the end of the heater box on and it should slip off, allowing access to the drain.
I've always wanted one of these for my track car which bolts to the three studs left by the airbag module.
Once that can accept a top like this to keep the drink in place...
