I personally think they’re standard in it. But we’ll see. If some cat cams come up for the right money I’ll buy them. What are the schrick cams? What power you going for?
Mines going to be geared to just over 100mph now with this 5.25. I’m using a rsx racing lsd. Wanted a gripper but I’ve got this set up with a lightened flywheel for less than a gripper is on its own
When I bought it it said 197 in the add, when I had the belts done the guys said they weren’t standard but the car doesn’t drive like it’s mapped. So I’m not sure. It’s either standard or 197.
What cams would you use with the bodies?
That will be a fun drive home. I took mine to work once when the van was in for an mot and everyone wanted to race me ?
Yeah the standard gear ratios are useless for rallying. Hard to stay in the revs. But once your in gear your in it for ever ?
Yeah the f2 era is by far my favourite.
Yeah it will be good to meet up. I’ve followed you for a while on Twitter. Long before I had a Clio. I only clicked the other month when I seen a picture of your car on my feed.
I’m excited for these bodies. I’ve always wanted them but I should really...
The Clio build just got serious
Jenvey Itbs and adaptronic ecu ready to plug and play. @bloke this will be ready for you to adjust my cam timing and take it to efi ?
Yeah I spent a morning in demon tweeks trying every seat under the sun. Then went to try the HRX straight after and it was a no brainier. I think they use the same body as one big manufactures. Just different cloth and padding.
I think he said to me he’s getting more stock next week because my...
Yeah it’s not a rally car without a lamp pod ?.
HRX seats are amazing. For the price they are I don’t think you can beat them. You getting them off Bryn? I’m currently fitting his kitchen for him.
Your car will be finished for then won’t it? Nice to have some fwd in the 2.0 instead off all...
So the gear box has been dropped off to have the diff and cw&p fitted. I can’t wait to see what the car drives like now.
I’ve started getting some bits sorted for the prom stages in September. On the Friday night there’s two stage in the dark.
I’ve bought a second hand bonnet pod off a Saxo...
I doubt it’s louder than my old exhaust. I only had a problem on one track day. The exhaust was custom made with decat, no middle silencer and tiny back box. I only got flagged at Donington on a quiet track day.
For the rest of the day I had to let off down the pit straight and it was ok the...
Yeah I don’t think I’d have fibreglass doors even if they were allowed. The the Clio doors are really heavy though.
I haven’t skinned anything on mine. I’d rather a little heavier bonnet than a flappy one ?
The 106 is considerably lighter than the Clio. It’s got fibreglass bonnet and boot, with a poly rear screen.
Where as mines got the standard bonnet, boot and rear screen.
When we have to push the cars around to move them the 106 takes hardly any effort
I’ve just been looking at your build now. Love a little Twingo r2. Your not the only one building one at the moment either. I know of another that’s pretty much finished.
Yeah he got up to 3rd in class before his box went. 1st in class was a proper 208 r2, 2nd was an M-Sport r2 fiesta. No ones...
So since smashing the gearbox to bits at Anglesey I’d been waiting on delivery of some new parts.
My RSX racing solutions lsd, 5.25 cw&p and lightened flywheel have arrived from Spain over the past week but I’d been on holiday in Mykonos.
These should be fitted alone with the gearbox rebuilt...
coming out of hairpins your on the clutch a lot, I want it to be more off or on.
Changing gears with a proper clutch is miles better than an organic standard type too
