It's certainly going to be interesting to see how it plays out. With Geeley's money behind them, and Volvo tech to pilfer, there is potential for Lotus to make some good cars in the coming years. Whether that translates to sales is another matter. The Emira is a stunning looking thing though.
I assume the same as standard, as it's only a dealer special edition, so they're not going to have stripped it out. I think they're between 1100 and 1200kg.
More information about the 208 Rallye - it's made by Garages Stoltz to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 205 T16, and has its own dedicated website: https://208rallye.com/
You weren't old enough to appreciate the meaning of "pink or brown", so your opinion is null and void.
I think Active is about the lowest I've seen. A shame they don't do the 130PS 1.2 with a manual 'box. That would be enough.
I'd go back to that in a heartbeat. Great days. Far more interesting than people leasing a car, throwing the Maxton catalogue at it, a pops and bangs remap, and then removing it all before they lease the next thing and repeat the cycle. At least people were creative back then.
Saw this on Twitter earlier. Apparently a Peugeot dealer in Switzerland has been offering a modern take on the "Rallye" with the 208. It's basically just the wheels and sticker kit, but I think it's quite cool all the same. Based on the 100bhp 1.2 turbo.
Always thought it was a shame that...
I spent some time over the weekend modifying my GT Pro Lite, as the position of the shifter was all wrong. The Logitech stuff is clearly designed to fit on a regular desk, so has a big chunk of plastic hanging down that means you are really limited on how you can mount it. With the Pro Lite, it...
Not entirely unexpected. We put far too much power in the hands of the vocal minority. I wonder if European events have the same problems, or if the moaners are told to shut up and accept that it's for the greater good of the local economy.
Scrap that, they cancelled my order. @Oggy997 - have they stopped making the drivehub or something? They've cancelled my order twice now and are showing no stock in the UK.
That's good news!
I've ordered a drivehub from the US so I can add a handbrake to my Logitech. Big thing that's bugging me right now is that I've just started playing EA Sports WRC and the shifter doesn't work, nor does the feedback through the wheel. They really need to get some patches out...
Be sure to ask them about dampers too, as they play a big role in the ride. Ultimately, adjusting the damper rates is only a case of using some different shims inside the dampers, so it shouldn't be too hard for them.
Why didn't you like the Gaz? When I spoke to them, a set with custom rates weren't really any more expensive than standard, so might be worth looking into.
It's worth noting that a lot of companies will do custom setups. Doesn't @frayz have custom spec ASTs on his car? I've had some dealing with Gaz in the past and they would do custom rate springs and dampers.
Would really appreciate it if you could ask him. I really want to add a handbrake, as I hate using a button on the wheel, and it would feel more immersive. This looks to be the only way to do it though.
Thanks. Their info seems a bit contradictory. The website mentions the G923 but the user manual doesn't, so would be nice to have it straight from the horse's mouth about what I can use, especially as I am going to have to import it.
Everything! The article I saw didn't even say who it was made by, so knowing that is a start 😂
A recommendation of what handbrakes I can use with it would definitely be useful. Was just looking at the Collective Minds website and it only seems to mention the Thrustmaster CS. Also, in terms of...
Seems my musings over Fanatec and Thrustmaster have become a bit irrelevant, as my missus bought me a Logitech G923 and shifter as an early birthday present - I think she was fed up of me saying I should get a wheel
Going to run with it for now, as I'm sure I'll still have plenty of fun...
Fanatec came back to me. The links (quoted below) would all work for me on my Xbox. Problem is, they don't ship to Saudi and could only recommend that I get it sent somewhere else and then onto Saudi through a freight forwarding company. The problem is, no more warranty if I go down that route...
If you're putting used stuff back on, is there any point? I'm not sure you'll gain a huge amount, and OEM dampers wear out pretty quickly in my experience, especially if the car is lowered.
