I’ll stand to be corrected but it’s what the Clios plated weight is that is the weight they go by. It can be 950kg but if the door plate says 1350kg then it’s regarded as 1350kg
There are more than i’ll list but off the top of my head on daily duties (inc company cars) were -
E46 touring 330d msport
VW transporter 5.1 180bhp highline (brand new)
Passat GTE estate (hybrid is the way forwards)
F11 530D touring msport (current daily car)
Mini clubman cooper D (Mrs car)...
Just about to spend more on a LSD and gearbox refresh than I did on buying the Clio. That’s the cheap track car I don’t use often. I know how much I’ve spent on it in total and it’s embarrassing.
But today i’m annoyed as I spent £32 on a heater fan resister for the Mrs 2015 Mini Countryman...
Finally I had some time with the Clio today. The good news is i’m finally going ahead LSD so I pulled it out the garage.
In preparation for the gearbox removal I took the bonnet and the bumper off....... and the wings........ and the side skirts! It’s fair to say I got carried away but the...
My mate Dan does the stickers. Has also did the blue one I raced with. He’s based in Bedford. The one on my car was harder to do as the yellow/grey colours are blended so it was printed.
The one I used is this one -

The one for the other side is this one -

First trackday for 2020 booked and i’ve only gone and booked the big one.............
Nurburgring
So much unfinished business with this car and the Ring. Last went 3 years ago with a very standard ish set up.
Hope the cars back together with the bits I want in it. It might also have to...
Snap! I only managed half a lap. Just had all belts done as a precaution. Idled like it had a cam and didn’t pick up well after 4K revs. It was the first time I used it so didn’t know what to look out for. In other good new the replacement £300 gumtree engine is going strong 13 trackday and 2...
Hi
My trailers up for sale if anyone is interested......

After 4 months it’s back on 4 wheels.......... for now 😂
I was a bit lapse in taking photos but first up the new brake lines were fitted. Then attention was turned to the rear bumper. Remembering I want to compete in some sort of motor sport with this car i’ve now fitted two metal tow straps. A...
Cheers, rear lines only are the third option listed here-

Turns out you can order the OEM brake lines from Renault and they arrive the next working day for a reasonable price. Not bad for a 15 year old car.
Also ordered the short braided rear lines from KAM. The only place I found that sells the rears on their own with next day delivery.
Time to...
Thank i’m looking forward to getting it out again with all the changes!
If I started again I would go PMS front wishbones but I already have adjustable inner bushes which I think were circa £200. The strengthening plates were £20 so the combination is good enough for me.
The gearbox has been...
Today we put the car back together. It’s nice to finally say that!
The day went well but a few little niggles have cropped up. I need to upgrade the short flexi brake lines but didn’t get chance to order them. Annoyingly I found the long hard line from the drivers side rear calliper has a...
I find the issue with Bedford is most of the time you’re faster than a lot of cars around the bends and then as you enter the straights to pass them they vanish 😂 Most poorly driven modern cars make their time on the straights. Bedford’s big enough to do your own thing. As said there will be at...
I went to pick up my parts today from M.S. Custom Engineering and i’m Very happy!
Everything has been powder coated anthracite and in addition the main inlet has had the stripes colour matched to liquid yellow like the graphics on the car.
The inlets have been port-matched and gas-flowed and...
I might have been lying a little when I said i’d stoped taking the car apart. Whilst the rear was at the powder coaters I thought it would be rude not have some of the engine parts done at the same time. So off have gone the manifold etc for some powder coating and some porting..........;)...
What make is it? I’ve had no issues with mine from CM Composites.
I’ve seen people use an additional single round pin push catch before mounted in the middle before. Looks neat and tidy
Slow-gress.......
Not much movement on the Clio but that’s due holidays so I can’t complain!
The bits arrived from PMS. I’ve arrange who is going to be sandblasting, welding and powder coating them. Whilst the bits are there I will also be sending some other bits to gain a few ponies for the...
Depends if you want you (the driver) in the image or not. It’s easy to mount off of the dash and you get the best view out of the car but you can’t see what the drivers doing.
Mounting off of the cage X is good but you don’t see much of out the front and the GoPro seams to struggle with...
So the racing gods were on our side as the monster screw had penetrated the rubber block but not gone through as it had laid on its side. One drama over with but the car was getting hot. As guessed, before we had opened the bonnet............ we had an air lock and as a result the header tank...
Snetterton race weekend 15.06.19 - The highs and lows of racing...........
We all went up Friday afternoon as team 'Unique Transporters' had booked on the Friday test session as their car had been down to KTEC for a new gripper diff etc. Turns out they're impressed with the setup but sadly it...
The rears all apart now. I think this is one of those small jobs that will result in the car being off the road for some time as there's more and more I want to do. Turns out there's lots of orange bits but nothing to bad.
Time to order the strengthening kit and clean up the underside ready...
