it is just the design of the seat but would provide head protection too I suppose.
The hole in the seat doesnt make the blind spot too bad, getting in and out is worse as they are so deep :)
Yeah will need tweaking up as you said, I did it really just to get a feel for the difference, once I get the geo done it should be a bit easier to adjust and get it spot on.
So small update, last night got round to removing the stripes on the boot along with the "Renault Sport" badge, also fitted my new number plates while I was at it, so started with this:
Removed stripes, badge and numberplate to get this:
Then after alot of tar remover and some polish...
Hmmm, well the ones on the roof have to come off anyway as they are peeling bad, so will probably end up leaving them off for good.
Cheers mate, how did combe go in the 172? get any photos?
I changed from these, very crashy. Havent been in the Ktec/vmaxx but would imagine they are of the same quality.
If you want something that will be good on track then you have to either spend more or keep the standards imo, if you want it for low then the cheap is fine.
Yeah it doesnt look as bad as I thought it would, but the roof stripes are in a state as it is so will get removed, I am useless with photoshop so havent tried, might look ok though.
So following on for the last post, Saturday and Sunday managed to get the car back together:
Got the alternator pulley on and mounted using the pure motorsport kit, also got the belt on without too much trouble.
As you can see this mounts the alternator where the aircon basically used to be...
They ain't that low, as I have used omp subframes, plus I have a slider on the drivers side as the missus drives the car, and she's 5ft nothing...
Need to sort out the levelness of the seats tho the passenger one is slightly on the piss.
That will be a great help, as the silicone pipe is kinked if I try and fit it at the moment, I could get a bend to go round the bit of body that it fouls (where the orignal airbox feed pipe clips in) but that defeats the point really.
Yeah I was planning to ditch the aircon anyway and have had...
Having a look at clearance between the RS2 and the alternator I was not happy with the amount of space between the two as they were pretty much touching as you can see here:
So I decided to fit my pure motorsport AC delete now rather than later, and so off comes the manifold again...then...
