Clio fuel gauges are just c**k teasing c-units
I can get just over 300 miles to a full tank, but I'll do about 120 miles & the gauge says I've only used 1/4 of a tank
You've got that quote a bit out of context there m8  also didn't take any note of my reply to that comment either
How anyone can call a valver tame is beyond me
It's a marketing thing, the valvers were built at the RS factory in dieppe so they are RS clios, just don't need to advertise it with a badge ;)
The voice in my head that wants to go faster is saying get the hell away from pokey french hatches & go for some volvo powered lunacy
No, a mk1 1995 1.8 16v clio to be precise ;)
Don't get me wrong, they're good cars, I like them but would I actually pay, with real money I've worked for to buy 1? Not a chance, not worth the extra money in my humble opinion
Much more fun though ;) I still prefer it over a trophy and I ragged the arse off that car, was quite underwhelmed
But if we're talking about french v jap I'd take my old corolla gt over the lot, I miss that car sooo much :(
I struggled to do it smoothly in the trophy I had a go in, maybe with a bit more practice I could improve but I seriously doubt I'd be able to do it as well as I can in the valver
ETA: I find it almost impossible to do in in beemers as well lol
Didn't Evo magazine say that the VXR is better than the 197?
EDIT: http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/cargrouptests/209893/corsa_vxr_v_cooper_s_v_clio_197_v_ibiza_cupra.html
Meh  I'd take a valver over a vee any day, sick of lookin at the vee on my drive every morning :rasp:
Few good ones for sale on www.clio16valver.co.uk & piston heads ;) RSI side skirts look much better on valvers as well
I mostly like them, much prefer the mk1's though, so much more character & the fact they're really cheap to buy & look after makes them much more appealing to keep & have fun with
Right boys & girls how should I fit my bucket seats? I'm not quite sure how to do this so I'm asking for help
The seats I've got don't have subframes, so obviously I need to get some, but not sure what to get.
I could buy these...
Just a quick post to show what I got up to last week, made a start on the thursday afternoon
Subframe off to sort the bits on it later
Engine out.....................again
And how she was sat on thursday night
Fitted a lovely 5th engine mount...
More of an ASW post than an update, but an update all the same :D
So next week the engine has to come out to be fixed  Unfortunately I now have no protection from darkness & crap weather as I had to abandon the gazebo of love at Santa Pod :( So I got busy with a tape measure in a...
