I'm in Byfleet/West Byfleet area near brooklands. Ive not done headlights for years. I am sure Ive some Megs unigrit somewhere and have a Flex DA with various pads and polishes. A resto kit will do the job Im sure if you want to do it yourself.
£550 sounds right, needs careful prep, careful application, also needs careful maintenance when the new owner washes, drys.
I am going to try this for the first time next year, Ive been using cquartzUK for the last 3 or 4 years as a base with a spray sealant on top but the longevity claims...
Same colour yes. Ive seen the spray forums and it looks like any spray shop that are reputable and make an effort would do the job properly which goes for any colour of paint.
Yeah lease an ST as well but that goes back in a few weeks.
Ive read on spray forums that it cant be matched or something. Can I f**k get a touch up pen for it as well...
Yeah different color to the original flame red. In low light it looks like this below:
f**k i really want a Flamer 172 as a 2nd car for next year that one is mint!! Not selling are you!? Wouldn't be looking until next year anyway. :)
Washed, AG SRP and Sonax Turbo detailer until I get chance to wet sand the barry'd up shopping trolley next year so excuse the swirls. Using the DI vessel for this wash I let it dry in baking sun and there were no marks anywhere which took a leap of faith to do.
Beading...
Come on slackers
C2v3 because I want to know why I stopped using it for bsd and turbo detailer 3 years back. Still think reload is absolute b****cks.
And some dodo juice btbm air freshener. I just had to test it out.
Been thinking about ideas for next year when I'll have chance to machine...
I know which bit you mean as I owned a GT. Is it not part of the front quarter panels/wheel arch wings or whatever they're called. I am sure that RS 197 wings have the same sort of thing going on.
Part of me wants to congratulate you on the excellent work and part of me wants to make a derogatory comment about being a woman etc.
So confused right now.
On a serious note great work. Id of like to have seen more full car pictures. LOL at your car collection as well. Proper petrol head.
Yeah many moons ago. I was either shotgun in a silver 172 or in a blue mk2 5 door expression 1.2. Did about 4 cs meets or Renault sport meets at Caldwell back in the day.
Thanks
Wish Id of had one with the BMW 320d lol. That was a mare to keep pristine.
I had planned to just use it for the rinse but even if it costs me £75 a year in resin I can live with that.
I think I sorted the leak in the pressure washer. Changed the inlet adapter to the standard one and...
I asked some owners and read a few things and apparently they all sound like 'junction signal boxes' although they sound as though they are relatively reliable with people putting 310 or 360hp through them with no issue. Theres no issue with the syncromesh atall theres no crunching into gear...
Np.

So I got mine from daqua. A vessel is a vessel so if you wanted to try get one on eBay or second hand then you might get one for a good price. The resin is expensive. 75 quid or so for mb115 and that will give you 2 fills in an 11 litre vessel. A fill...
Bought a 15 litre DI vessel with MB115 resin and a new Nilfisk E 140.3-9 pressure washer to replace a ruptured Nilfisk C110 which I am going to try get replaced. I have always wanted to do this but never had the cash and having bought the Megane and found washing satin black wheels is the most...
So has waitey basically spent 12 pages justifying and defending his decision to run an audi rs3 because other forum users can't see eye to eye?
I'm sure I met you once on an East Yorkshire meet many years ago.... seem to recognise the username
Ive put maybe 500 miles on it now and I love the thing. Been returning circa 20-22mpg but it seems to average over the space of about 5 miles so its always changing.
The original PS2s were just about done on the fronts and certainly past their best. So I was going to give them 2000 miles more...
Yeah I ordered a 15 litre DI Vessel, hopefully getting a new pressure washer as the nilfisk has ruptured somewhere in less than a year. Maybe a kranzle.
Thank you I will look around for reputable spray shops near me.
Same process as in the DW threads? Just panit on with a brush and shave/wetsand until level?
Any one know where I can get good ready mixed paint, clear and hardener from. i am after the new Renault flame red paint to repair some stone chips.
Wont be doing it for a few months maybe even leave till next year
