Suspects causes are
Too much rear toe out
Thrust angle of rear beam out
Rear tyres not heating up enough
Lack of negative camber?
EPAS? (getting used to minimal im put).
Tyre pressures?
Happens in tight right hand turns defensive line.
Rear springs too stiff (570lb) but handled faultlessly mid...
Race 2 looked fun,
I had to stop watching after the near rear entry into James Breeze, lol
Its doesnt look as planted on the front end as it did before, certainly time for that new shell I reckon,
Well done
Standing water most use Uniroyal Rainsport 2's @Josh
and 888's when damp.
I have some Rainsports for sale (blatent plug on someone elses page) Sorry @sonny172cup
10mm is too far apart mate, You'll be trapping some very hot air their and the will restrict flow to the radiator,
So just to be clear, is it intake temps that are too high or water temps?
and what kind of water temps are you seeing?
What gap have you got between the intercooler and Coolant Radiator?
If the gap is too big then you will create an area where heat connot escape, Ideally you want them almost touching,
But if this is not the issue then the only way to get intake temps down is too either fit a larger cooler or...
@sonny172cup I'll answer your tyre issue simply
You are going a hell of alot quicker than last year and now finding the limit, You were no where near the limit last year.
Told you that gearbox was good, Looks quick in your car.
Not ran the RS2 since last year, I didnt really feel the difference in power btween standard and with the RS2 on there, The way it delivered the power was better.
I wouldnt waste the money again, I'd go straight to throttle bodies
Oh, think I'll need to start a new thread for mine as I may be coming back to contest production class!
What engine mounts are we allowed to run Adam?
And are you aloud poly bushed suspension bushes?
This is true. But now you have a piece if the dingermobile it's all coming together.
As Tony said, you need to work the dunlops hard on the green flag lap to warm up.
I got caught out a few times so just be ready for it.
Lend James your engine for Thruxton then! Lol
My point is that the internals were never designed to see that kind of pressure or heat and it's only a matter of time before something gives in.
If I drove a trackday like I drive a race day then it wouldn't be long before they threw me off...
Are these figures from race cars or road cars. As 15 minutes of road driving is very different to full on race mode for 15 mins.
I can't see any standard engine lasting long on the track with those kinds of compression ratios.
Although you know my feelings with regards to this, still not good to see,
Sell the charger, get a standard second hand engine and use the funds from the charger to put cams and throttle bodies on,
Come on mate, you know it makes sense,
Dont get me wrong guys, I'm not knocking Andrew in any way.
Now that he has a decent suspension set up the learning curve begins and was just trying to make a point that throwing money at the car does not always give results,
See you Friday mate
Learn the car Andrew,,,,,
I'm not just saying that to be a pain, but your doing alot of upgrades when you havnt yet got a grip of the car,,,
I'm speaking from experience mate
