    Induction question

So you would need to remove the existing 90degree intake factory part, which has the factory breather attached in a similar location on the original 90degree bend. Remove this breather from the factory 90degree bend, and follow it back to somewhere behind the rear of the rocker cover (roughly...

    Storing a car - mould !

Mines been up on axle stands waiting for parts since the start of December, and I've noticed the insides of all the windows dripping wet recently regardless of the weather. Having had a Clio go mouldy in the past, I ordered SIX of those disposable dehumidifiers (the ones that are basically...

Looks like my bean got written off this aft :(

I've been involved doing similar to a metro that had a front end-er. Ratchet strap round tree, round headlight hole in slam panel, reverse. Worked a treat

    Why members don’t attend meets?

I never make it to any because my car is always broken ? Booked off time from work for all the shows last year like CSF and PFC too and spent that time on my back on the driver spannering instead ?

    1.2 8v Phase 1 - speedometer not working?!

If I remember rightly, if you take your hands and aim down the back of the engine/gearbox roughly where they mate, move over a few inches you'll feel the sensor. It's like a smarties tube size thing just poking out the gearbox with a plug on the end. I haven't got any pictures I'm afraid as that...

    Clio 182 LED size?

A Kit I purchased to change mine just came with ordinary through hole LEDs for the window switches and and central locking etc. Not sure on the AC controls

    1.2 8v Phase 1 - speedometer not working?!

As mentioned above, it is most definitely a sensor that goes into the back of the gearbox. Can be swapped out without gearbox removal, part genuine from Renault cost me circa £25 about 7 years ago when I had a 1.2 8V, wouldn't be surprised if its NLA by now...

Are you able to fit a universal gear knob on the 1.4L Clio MK2?

As long as it has the facility for lift up reverse I can't see why not

    RaceChip vs Custom ECU remap.

Just looking at the cost of a brand new RSTuner online, about £200, you could easily get a decent map for around that

Boosted 1*2s chaps - what rad do you have?

It would have been last week and a half of November, first week and a half of December so yeah temps were already low. I have no idea about the warmer months or track time unfortunately, I haven't made it that far yet as it's still off the road!

Boosted 1*2s chaps - what rad do you have?

I converted mine to the ED low boost kit back in December, and for the three short weeks it was on the road it only ever overheated due to a faulty pattern part bottle cap. Once i changed that for a genuine Renault item the temps on the gauge seemed to stay fairly normal. Obviously i'm putting a...

    RaceChip vs Custom ECU remap.

RSTuner is like a flash tuning box, used to be like the 'go to' for a entry level software power bump, but it seems the general consensus is that the customer service has gone massively downhill

Broken down again... What would you do?

Finally got round to this, so little update on what was found, a video beats a picture for word count right? ? So anyone ever broken the engine dynamics five paddle that they recommend for high boost before? Or am I a first on that one too? Anyone know if there's any warranty on their stuff...

    Waze users - help plz

If you turn off the alerts for the things that are muting your audio (found in the 'Alerts & Reports' menu, Reports Submenu) you won't get the pop-up on screen saying 'speed camera ahead', 'hazard reported ahead' etc so it won't mute the audio, however the icon for these things will still be...

What's the best place to buy Clip hardware+software end of 2018?

Thanks for the advice, I'll be on the lookout for a xp laptop soon I imagine, unless I can get the VMware stuff going well on my laptop

Hi all, my exciting new toy

This is correct, however the 'Cup' badges on the 182 used the same-ish font as the Clio badge itself. The 'Cup 172' badges used a more squared off font. Removing the '172' portion would fill the gap, although it's not technically the same as original

What's the best place to buy Clip hardware+software end of 2018?

Hi All, As per title really, been looking at some of the eBay offerings and varying from around £80-£150 what's the safest bet these days? Found guidance on some old posts (circa 2012) that have worries with clip and 64bit operating systems, is this still a worry? I'm running Windows 10...

Broken down again... What would you do?

    So, drivers side shaft splines were fine, think I've found the source of the bad noises... In all gears, forward or reverse, spin the disc and this disgusting noise!! Video attached;

Broken down again... What would you do?

Drained the box oil and strained it through a cloth... No large chunks of gear teeth or anything in the oil, however there is very very fine (we're talking like sugar granule size) specs in the cloth, and the oil definitely has this like metallic looking swirl to it? @NorthloopCup is this good...

Broken down again... What would you do?

Right, late start working on this but it's up on stands with the wheels off. Spinning the drivers side disc forwards and backwards is matched up by the passenger side moving forwards and backwards (LSD) at the same time so I suspect the shafts and diff are okay? Now on to dropping the subframe...

Would this make quite a lot of racket when under tow? As the engine was idling fine for steering and brakes, with no sound of grinding or anything under tow?

Broken down again... What would you do?

What about a meg225 for fun factor? I have to admit the whole Subaru thing would be childhood nostalgia of watching Rallies and playing the games and having the likes of Burns and McRae engraving the infectious boxer rumble in my mind as a bit of a goal to own. Even if in UK2000 turbo or import...

Broken down again... What would you do?

Literally the most frustrating thing I've ever done on the car!! So much trial and error, even how I had it getting into reverse required a bit more force than I'd of liked but couldn't get all the forward gears in any other position. I'd happily undertake another gearbox change on stands in my...
