Got some red Eibach fronts from Mark Fish but not managed to fit them yet as weather has been crap and been busy stripping a 182 It’s nearly done, just need to sort the exhaust, bleed the brakes (managed to fit rear discs) and finish fitting the seats.

Yes through tunnel with spreader plate is best but you could secure using one of the subframe fixing bolts.

The PMS comes with new hangers. I managed to move mine up a bit by sliding the mounts so the rubber hangers were at an angle.

The rear belts don’t have any wires running to them, are you sure the fault is not related to the front belts?

Renault Parts Direct are offering good discounts at the moment on the cambelt & dephaser kits. I just purchased cambelt kit, dephaser pulley, aux belt kit and water pump from them and was £200 less than my local dealer!

If it is for the alarm, it will not be attached to the engine loom so can just be left in place, normally it just taped/cable tied along the engine loom/bonnet release

Have you stripped out the dash to trace where it goes? I have broken approx 10 clio 182/172 in the past year and all had a wire passing through like this from the alarm system.

If it is the alarm wire it will be spliced into the loom behind the dash and it’s normally soldered so will have to be cut

Any recommendations for someone to replace the cambelt and dephaser on a 182 engine? The engine is currently out of the car and is still timed, I can drive upto 100 Miles from Bracknell, Berkshire if can be done in the same day.
