I picked up the paint today and went for the same colour as the wheels!
Here it is, the flake is insane! If you zoom in on the photo it actually looks like universe lmao.
I thought I had made my mind up until I came back and saw your photos @Cub. White does look good!
@Scrooge I'm not sure how that would look tbh, I think the final stage is an orange/yellow pearlescent but might be wrong.
Black with a white pearlescent turns into a nice metallic grey so maybe...
I had a matte black cage in before and it was just too subtle imo.
I think sticker bombing it would be a bit OTT lol! If I could fit it in our tank I'd dip it the same as the engine bay though.
Got the roll cage on order now but I'm still undecided on what colour to go for!
Down to 3 choices which are
- Inferno orange
- White
- same colour as the wheels (purpley/blue/grey)
Open to other ideas and if anyone has any photos of caged Inferno's that would be appreciated.
Here's a few...
I think I might try and revive this thread and catch up with all my progress. It's almost 2 years out of date and a lot has changed!
Here's a few of my favourite photos over the last couple of years and what it looks like at the moment -
Got one! :) It's a shame the PAS bottle is yellow as standard :/
Tbh I've got a little bored of working with the carbon designs, it looks good but like you say everyone has it now. Much more refreshing getting asked to do something a little crazy :D
Thanks mate
It made 176 on the rollers. I was hoping for more but hopefully the cams will make more of a difference when the bodies are on as well.
Thank you  I was going to go with the usual carbon fibre design but then I saw this one and went for it instead. Not to everyone's...
Thanks guys
Yeah we've done so much work with the carbon designs I thought I'd be a little different and choose a more interesting film.
That's on the list mate! I've been told euro car parts do them fairly cheap as well so will nip there one day and pick one up
Thanks mate...
Hi guys, it's been a while since I've posted any photos of the inferno but I cleaned the engine bay the other day and thought I'd show off my new hydrodipped bits :) comments welcome!
Hi mate. Yeah we still meet at the Shell Garage, usually say get there for 5.15 and leave at 5.30 in case and people are a bit late.
You'll have to speak to Tom through facebook mate, I don't think he's on here anymore.
That's the only thing I'm thinking of mate! Want the cage to stand out but i'm limited for colours of I just stick to the colours already on the car. That's why I wanted to chuck another colour in there, it'd work well if I kept the white rotas!
Hi guys,
I'm going to be painting my roll cage soon and need a few inspirational photos!
Currently thinking painting it either white or Inferno orange.
It's currently black but could do with a refurb and don't fancy it black again as it's too subtle!
