WD40 is a good place to start, then degreaser / brake cleaner etc. Cheap ebay steam cleaner helps the tight gaps too.

CQUK = CQuartz UK, a semi permanent sealant. Just an example, there are plenty available. It reall would be a shame not to protect your hard work with something durable.

If you're low on funds you can substitute the clay lube for a shampoo solution. You shouldn't need a selection on clay, but Bilt Hamber only requires water (no soapy lube needed).
