The Turini has been dropped at the bodyshop today :)
Not tried since as it was fluttering twice then blowing off. Going to relocate it hot side but cars struggling on boost at the moment. Think it's the CTS so I've ordered one from Renault. Temp guage dips slightly under harsh acceleration...
Well, call me "The Coil Pack Killer" as another started to fail yesterday just as I fuelled it up ready for it's MOT!
I decided I'd fuel up, then head to Eurocarparts for a hazard switch as mine had failed just before MOT. Gave it some welly out of the petrol station and it misfired on boost...
I have tools (all over the place at the moment), a decent jack and lots of cleaning stuff I can fetch along too! And another pressure washer if you have 2 outside taps?
I'd be up for this depending on date due to work etc. Few bits to sort on the car.
What sorta area is your workshop in @Kevin172 as I want to mess with blow off valve placement so will need to keep taking the car for short blasts with no front bumper on. Better if it's a quiet industrial...
Thanks mate!
Conversion was done at clioturbo in Durham. Andy's a trader on here and there's nothing he doesn't know about slapping snails onto RS Clio's! Mines only low boost 227bhp/207 torque but goes like the clappers! I definitely recommend him for drive in drive out turbo conversions.
Was on the way to or at work both times haha. I potter about a lot in summer and get no spotted posts then get 2 when only using the car for commuting! Replied to the other spotted post after my earlier reply to this thread, rumbled when it was parked up at work!
If its standard then you will need a decat minimum. If it also has standard cat back, then the way these rust the first bang will probably make the stock exhaust explode! You want a decatted stainless system to make this work really and even then would likely attribute to engine damage.
Yep this is Lawro's old car and it is immaculate. I saw it the other week and it wasn't gleaming so I had to tell him off!
Jake has taken great care of it and I seriously doubt he would do anything to spoil it. I think he just wants to add a few personal touches to it.
I kinda agree. The car is a stunning example (mine looks great until it's next to this and then the flaws on mine show), I would just make sure whatever you do compliments the car and doesn't make it look a mess. Personally I would leave the mirrors well alone and just get the diamonds paint...
Bodytech guys are no older than 45 mate so will have been the wrong place. At 5:20 they will have probably packed up for the day so get there a little earlier next time. I deffo recommend them though mate!
That is awful mate! Is that the company your way that do the Clio 200 Meg conversions!?
At least now it is in the very talented hands of Andy and you won't have it back until it is spot on!
Has the engine management now changed to Adaptronic BTW? Really impressed with how mine runs alongside...
Pushing a car well beyond it's designed limits is bound to cause issues of some kind along the way. That adds to the thrill IMO.
I agree with the gearbox issues as I have suffered one so far and I'm less confident with the gearboxes strength/limits now, but regarding the ECU and fuel system, I...

Usually has a blue van and car outside with Bodytech written all over them, they are on the left as you drive down Wakefield...
Haha glad you got home safely! Thanks for the kind comments about the car; a few niggles to sort on the wheels though!
The Trophy looked great, even if a little dirty!
@jakehamer1994 the more I read about this cruise the more I think the police aren't aware. I reckon it'll be shut down quickly! Now the location has changed, where should us Clio lot meet afterwards if it's too early for home? Tesco meant it was easy for us to go to asda but Yeadon Way is a...
We'll stick with the Odeon (even though you will drive pretty much past the cruise location en route to us) as there is the Swift Hound pub which does belting food and a McDonalds on that car park so it caters for all pocket depths. I'm thinking McDonalds grub will be better now due to so many...
If this cruise gets shut down by the Police (which I suspect is likely) and it's a little early for you to be trekking back, take a left out of Tesco and carry straight on until you see Asda. We'll re-group on there for a bit!
