Ah I see, I thought they were your local dealer or something, but if they are substantially cheaper then ill certainly give them a try, are they an independent set up?

In terms of the thermostat, Eurocarparts do a Circoli one at less that £4. Renault is around £25.

I picked up my 172 Cup on Friday and I'm pretty happy with it so far.
But, the temp gauge is reading low so I guess the the thermostat is knackered, but I want to change the coolant temp sensor too whilst I'm at it.
Does anyone have a part number or link for the right one?

Wheels need a refurb, interior wear (may need a bit of a refurb, some new plastics. wheel etc), body looks good, no dents, all original except after-market exhaust and airbox.

Yes, I can survive without aircon, I only use it about 5 days a year in the Focus. Side airbags and ABS, my MX5 doesn't have those so yes, I can live without those too (unless i get T-Boned by a range Rover or whatever). It's a drivers car after all isn't it?

Agreed, the MX5 gear change is like a reloading a precision rifle. I remember the valver gearbox being like treacle, before it shat itself and wiped out a 1st, 3rd and 5th. I'm not sure if i could put up with an MX5 for a daily though.

The Focus has an Eibach/Bilstein set up, which is not really too bad, compared to the Roadster which is on coilover's. I'm keen to see what other Cup owners have found...

I think it comes as a kit from Renault, along with the 4 security bolts used to hold the centre caps on.
The kit is about £20 from Renault but I'm sure you'll be able to pick one up off eBay.

The alloys didn't come with the car originally, it had steelies on at first, but I've kept the original bolts, should I replace them with some bolts that are for those alloys, if they are slightly longer?

God damn it! just getting the valver ready to sell and fecking walk out to the petrol station to see water p1ssing out of the bottom of the radiator...filled it back up, but was gone again after 20 mins of driving...took the lid off the water tank and the water was all white with bubbles in...

Really cant be bothered with it anymore....was nice whilst it lasted...about £1.5K ago...
