    The new TV thread

I'd try and find something along the lines to what I used to have (long time ago now). Center speaker fitted perfectly in it and angled up a bit and you could put the projector on top. Probably wouldn't be too hard/expensive to make one.

I'd try and find a way to raise it an inch or 2 and angle it towards you somehow. At the min it's pointing straight under the sofa. Only other options I can see is to put it off center a bit above your amp where the controllers are sat or mount it above the screen pointing down.

You'll love it. I'm so glad I paid the extra and went for the 65" CX instead of getting the 55" .

I got mine on Thursday. I only bought it for the cheap Chromecast Ultra. Absolute bargain tbh. Still only £20 in the OP's link!

I got a good 10 years out of my (what was good at the time) 50" plasma. I'd like to get 5-10 out of my new 65" oled. I still have my plasma upstairs and the pictures still good all be smaller...

People on AVforums have been using the Ikea Persby shelf (for 48") or the Lack shelf for the bigger ones to raise them for fitting sound bars if that helps.
  15. realnumber 1

Have sound-bars replaced the traditional 5.1 and 7.1 speaker setups for TVs?

You don't have to have the volume up to the max for either type of setup. A proper 5.1, 7.1, atmos setup will always blow any sound bar setup out of the water at any volume level.

I'd never consider using internal speakers on pretty much any modern TV. You want a sound bar as a minimum imo.

Why can't it hang over a little with the kids? The 55" is much better value.

    problems with catalyst clio 182

There was only 1 version available at the time and it cost about £100 then but it looks more like the expensive one out of those. I only bought it at the time for MOT's but it made such little difference I ended up leaving it on.

There's nothing wrong with these cats2u ones. I've been running one for 8 years now with no issues what so ever. Also didn't notice any difference to power when I went from a decat to this and works fine with my cams and mapping....(y)
