Yes, v. dark will be lord blue. Or if its dark green it could be a york. They're great as a regular drive, the problem is leaving them in a car park not knowing if it's going to be there when you return !
Hi andy, it was a rod that let go, and at about 450hp. The other 3 came out with noticable bends in them! As above, I wouldn't chance much more than 300hp for any length of time. :)
That didn't work, Google docs isn't exporting .xlsx files properly, so try this:

Here we go, I've started an Excel spreadsheet. If people want to add to or modify it they can email the updated file to me at chris@efi-parts.co.uk and I'll re-upload.

Hi Ben, the world would be a boring place if everybody had the same solution don't you think ? Sometimes it's about a customer wanting their car to be tuned by or looked after by a specific company or individual, and not about the almost arbitrary choice of hardware. The Gen90 works very...
It's an Adaptronic 420d Chip, I stick them on all kinds :) Yes definately, the PH1 setup is preferable from a tuning point of view, but actually the OEM works pretty well most of the time. I've done a few like this. The other downside of course is that we don't get as much out of the...
Its not so much a transient thing, it's a coolant enrich thing with the later Clio. Those setups which have the regulator in the tank have different coolant based enrich requirements at different points in the map. It's not wildly different but enough to make a difference. What would be...
Hi Simon,
They're a real headache to map at 1500-2000rpm because of the VVT change over Simon, so it's a little bit of a compromise in terms of tune. It should only be very light, it's the best it can be. It seems more of a job to get right on the later in-tank regulated fuel systems. I...
One of the problems I have in the new workshop is that it doesn't get much colder than 8° over night so it's hard to test for really cold starting sorry. It was good at 8° and had hoped it would be fine in colder weather. Omes 600 also doesn't offer much in the way of cold start features, no...
Here you go Dan:

The existing metal hose tail in the back of the manifold can be removed with an allen key and...
That piece of pipe we used is 8mm nylon Dan, so unless it's burnt through somewhere I don't think you're problem will be there.
Did you get round to installing the one way valve ? You need a valve in that line to stop the servo seeing boost pressure.
Pull that pipe off the back of the...
That was with a 1.8 crank though so not really comparable. That motor was about RPM. I broke one in half and the other 3 came out looking like the picture.
The 02A / 02Js arn't quite as bullet proof as the later 6 speed things. I broke 3x 3rd gears in an 02J, never seen 5th breaking so it was unexpected but andy will be fine on an 02M if he can shoe horn it in there.
Only recently Jordie with his 9sec 4x4 800hp scirocco started to break 4th gear...
Andy can't post in here so adding him to the list

Alas Dan, that was not the correct plug just for future reference. :) (I ordered a few, they're normal ecconoseal things like you find with some ITB kits).
Cheers, Chris
They're not that expensive Jaff :) The flywheel alone is £450 + delivery. Adaptor plate cost will depend on the cost of manufacture again, but somewhere between £100 and £150.
Are you going to santa pod on the 2nd andy ?
I'll tell you all something, I've driven some quick cars over the years but in 1st and 2nd gear this thing is something else :)
Well, thats Renault for you :)
The speedo thing was quite interesting as it goes. For 9 turns of the wheels you get 10 turns of the speed sender. Each turn of the speed sender generates 8 pulses (open collector type thing so requires some pull-up). That means 8.8 pulses or so per turn of the...
Thanks Chip, you got it. I'm a one man band with only moderate overheads so hopefully people will agree with you and won't think it's too expensive.
I even managed to keep the 172 Cup's speedo working by installing 8 lugs on one of the inner CV cups and using a hall sensor to replace Renaults...
