Problem with Peugeot is everything after the 306GTI-6 was crap, the 206GTI sold well but was slow and the 206 GTI 180 wasn't as good as its opponents. Then literally nothing until the new 208gti.

Lol really??? 275bhp in a supermini isn't radical... It has Clio cup and rally parts, uprated suspension and subframe to help control it. On top of that its only taken them 5 months to put together!

If we use the megane as a template, the 250, 265 and 275 have all been updated production models based on the same megane, there no reason they couldn't apply this logic to the clio? I suppose much like the 172 into the 182.
There's no way this will be more than £25k-£26k, the 220 Trophy is 22 with recaros. Essentially you adding a manual gearbox (usually a cheaper option) and an engine which has already been developed. The new focus RS is £30k and that's 350bhp with 4 wheel drive. So unless they make major chassis...
