@Jimbob 2705 it was parked up in Sunny bank just behind Keith Price garage mate. I didn't (wasn't in a fit state) have a look around at the time. Let me know how it goes if you do go have a look.
Cheers mate.
I've already have new mounts waiting to go on as part of the refresh, was just curious, did renault have to modify the rubber mount to accommodate the new nut/spacer.
When renault decided to start offering the revised washer/ nut to fix the knocking, did they change the design of the mount itself?
I'm not sure if I've read somewhere there was a subtle difference or I'm just making it up.
Cheers
A bit far from me.
Get the scuttle off again and have a go at the middle drain from there.
Can't remember if it was from drivers or passengers side but it can be done.
It's a bit of a faff but if you lean in, get behind the sound proofing half way down the back of the block there SHOULD be a rubber drain pipe. I say should because I know of someone who had the same problem just ripped his out.
I went and seen Charlie at pro speed, had a system built for my last 172, absolutely loved it, would highly recommend. There was talk of him being head hunted by powerflow but didn't like the cheaper material they wanted to use so left and started up pro speed. (That could also be total...

I've seen this car a few time when Dan owned it and know how much time, effort and money he put into it. Was shocked when I found out it was going but good to see its gone to a good home.
Recaros for the win
Caliper off, remove bleed screw & drain, mole grips and a cloth, gently tease piston out. Not sure if that's right or wrong but worked for me and the calipers had been sat in the shed for the last 2 yrs.
Potentially going to travel up from South Wales later this week to view, just wondering if anyone knows the car?
Can't post the link as currently on my phone but Ebay number 272119763177.
Only had a quick chat to the dealer and he has a receipt for the hub/ball joint done recently but its due...
I love a good bodge.
My heat shield was rattling a few weeks ago and wasn't at home so got the car up on a high kirb and temporary bodged it. Forgot all about it till today when sorting the exhaust bracket.
Went on line and chucked a promo code in to get the discount price. £38 of the top of my head. Phoned them up and said I know others have had them cheaper and he done it for £32 with out arguing.
I did order a few other bits so might not work out so great with postage if your only ordering 1...
