The small 30amp fuse under the bonnet on the top left of the box. (pic below)
Any idea what this operates (on a 172 / 182 )
Its just i have that problem, the small fuse blowing and cutting engine. 30 amp near the relays. Wondered if anyone has seen this before and why it could happen??
Did you find what caused your not starting problem?
I had the relay fault: making it not start, clean them all and hey presto.
But now the small 30 amp fuse in the box under the bonnet near the relays keeps randomly blowing and stopping it start???
Any ideas or seen this before?

Hi guys, hope you can help me.
Engine keeps on cutting out when running, varied times, no exact reason, electrical lights / management & stop light on dash. Engine just turns over, all other items work fine but wont fire up. Can run fine for 2 months then do 2 fuses in days then run fine again...
hi guys, does anyone know anymore details on this little problem?? Ive had the same light on a while now, and yes i do have a De-cat! but that's been on 2/3 yrs and the lights only just appeared.
I don't do enough miles to really tell if im using any more fuel than normal, any help much...
Ive got the same problem, sometimes starts, sometimes doesn't. Ive sanded all the relays, checked the fuses. Go to start, ignition lights up, try to turn it over and nothing... try a few times and then WILL start...... weird? New battery not long ago
Mines been doing this exact problem!! Cleaned all the relays, would WD40 help at all?? which relays are the ones mainly involved for starting? Any other issues to look at?

I think i have this problem or very similar. Its very on / off though, sometimes it will start sometimes it wont. Its quite scary though when your in a car park 50 miles away. I can just go to the car too start, turn the key (all lights on ignition) next turn to start and nothing, no clicking...

Any other suggestions would be great as i have this problem and it is very scary when your car randomly dies on the M1 engine bay or centre of town. The green 30 amp fuse blows in the engine bay and coil light comes on ...

This resistor pack has f*cked up to me 3 times now!! I dont know why it keeps doing it. It did it 2010, then in 2012 now its just done it again and i will be sending it off for a repair. Why do they keep breaking? its the same as most people's problem - the digital display all works fine...
