Find yourself an evo turbocharger mate, flanges are easy enough to make yourself a twin scroll manifold. Great spool, transient and should be able to perform in the region of 300-350bhp
To refer to your first question, a car has to be produced to work in every environment, maybe we have stable ron 98 here but it could be pretty different in eastern europe for example
Not only the ecu is better documented, almost everything is. Probably has something to do with VAGs marketing and so sales. Shame as i really like the 'being different' mentality of Renault
Lol, prior to reading you post i figured i had it wrong!
is the vag ecu really that simple? Could make for a nice standalone'ish ecu then
shame all modern cars use can comms for tacho etc
Hhhmmm i thought i had to grind it away to make it work with a 60-2 trigger pattern, anyway it does work with the megasquirt setup for 60-2
is i understand it correct the original is 60-1-1 not 60-2-2
I have a pic of my 'Scoff' flywheel where i have ground away the long tooth, will have a look tonight if i also have the original trigger on a pic. Should be the same as the original flywheel as Chris designed it to work on OE management
iirc the original flywheel has '62' teeth but two of them are bonded together and one is missing. so grind away half of the long tooth and it becomes 62-2
Can't open the FB page mate, probably because i'm not member of the group?
here is some better petrol effort btw (Clio content) :

Lol, dervness is great for daily driving, especially considering today's gas price!
i know it's not about pace, for me it's just fun! I only go there once a year so i don't need to be a hero :)
i'll have a look tonight mate, i do have a facebook account but don't really use it that much.
yes i'm off to the ring the 20th mate, will see how the dci holds this time :) it's absolutely not the fastest but get's my heartrate going so that's all it takes to have some fun!
it does go around...
Good to see you had a good time on the ring mate!
what are you doing with the other car now? High comp using 197 bottom end and 182 head?
the head looks absolutely brand new, nice find!
Looks like some proper trashing but good to see the car back together!
If you don't have the gt30 yet, i have a brand new efr 7064 for sale ;) new technology, better than garrett in every way
so basically you tap all sensor wires so the factory ecu and the piggybagged ecu get the signals, however the fuel supply and ignition get's cut off the original ecu and managed by the standalone ecu?
I have had contact with someone who has made a Megasquirt plug and play ecu for the 172 but...
I see more and more turbo conversions using aftermarket ecu's.
I'm running Megasquirt on my 9 atm so i do know how standalone works but i wonder how a standalone ecu get's wired in on a 172 or the likes.
I presume they can only be used alongside the original ecu because of clocks, comms with...
Lol, not mich usefull reactions here either, the list groes though...
Guess it won't be worth the hassle
no i'm not trying to make a profit, i'm trying to get me a fun Clio without having to pay gold for it....
clio's in belgium/germany/france will cost about the same, add €1000 import tax to...
Since Clio's are just much cheaper in the UK i've been considering exporting one and converting it to lhd.
unfortunately since the Clio's are so f**king expensive here there aren't alot parts either.
i was wondering what would be involved, things i could think of:
lhd steering rack, move brake...
