I dont have the track car anymore have a trophy road car now but to be honest ive bought that as much as an investment as to actually use, but it is still fun to drive something very analogue and not overly fast for on the road
The green car was a serious spec but for what i had in it , i could...
Pulled this out of storage last week as I had space in my garage at the house while the 570 was away for warranty work.
Battery was dead but after ma quick jump start it was good to go, really forgot how fun it is on the road.
Sadly going back to my parents garage out the way, but do have a...
Risky move taking over a business with a tarnished name, as will take a lot to change peoples minds.
I would of thought starting a fresh with a new name after buying the equipment would of been easier, just a quick google search of the name will be enough to loose a lot of business before they...
I would go with B but go with the Northloop kit over the BCS bolt on kit, Ive had both and the design/quality of Marks was better.
BUT on a road car they would need regular cleaning , you could get dust boots from McGills to try and protect the joints, I fitted boots and grease packed them...
Vapour blasting would be the best route if you want them factory fresh.
The ones on my trophy wern't too bad so i just cleaned them up and sprayed with alumablast which give a factory look.
Pulled the cover off this today and moved it out the garage, I forgot how clean it is.
Think it may now be going into storage for atleast 6 months if anyone has any suggestions , I was thinking few extra psi in the tyres, and disconnect the battery.
Light anthracite would be my choice , Turinis just suit the car so well and think at that height they look/sit better on 15's.
The fact the 2118's are boat anchors they will probably weigh more that the Turinis , so worse looks and no unsprung weight advantage.
Hard to say as no real one tire does all , with your car being heavily track biased and would think geo set up for track you will ware tires fairly quick on the road. For this time of year i would go with rainsports( but i do stay in Scotland ) then use them as your wets, as long as they dont...
For the shift lights i would use the numbers in the screen shot above +1000 on each one bar the last that i would put at 7400 , as i guess you will have a 7500 limiter set . This function will get the readings from the rev counter thats fed from your ECU.
All good at this end thanks little Luke arrived last Wed, he is doing fine and his mum is recovering well. It's a shock to the system forsure buy he is starting to sleep longer already.
Last small mod I have planned for the car , hopefully from now on it will be use and maintenance posted here.
I hated the tread plate foot rest the car had fitted, but did like the look of having an alloy pedal so went for one more fitting with the originals
Old vs new I would say there is maybe slightly less vibration at idle but this may improve as the bush beds in.
My car has vibratechnics engine/ gearbox mount so that wont be helping but in the past I've found its the dogbone that transmits the most sound to the cabin.
After seeing Frays fitting the speedline stickers to his wheels I decided to order some up in silver.
I also ordered on of Pillip M's new poly dogbone mounts that are meant to transmit a lot less vibrations so will do a back to back test with the power flex purple that is fitted to the car...
Had a nightmare a few days ago. I took the car to get a spare key cut and coded, while he was coding the key the wind caught the door which swung and ended up with a dent 😥. Trying to get a dent guy out next week as it should come out.
Thats for the crank sensor if your still using the standard ecu to run the dash , it basically boost the crank signal so both emu's can get a strong signal.
