Big thank you to @AlexW for coming over today to remove the coilovers and fit my new cup suspension and Cooksport springs with new mounts etc. And for replacing the gearbox oil.
I also fitted new Cup 172 badges

Hi Guys,
Long shot but does anyone know of any Petrol Blue 182s with lowish mileage (sub 80k) out there?
I have been looking to buy one for approx 2years and I know they are rare so thought I would see if anybody could help or if anyone would be tempted to sell theirs.
Thanks,
Chris
Very true, I have the final bits being done on Saturday so will have to have a think after. Still really really want a Petrol Blue 182 so may sell on and hunt for one of those.
The vinyl was literally just from eBay and then I used a can of spray clearcoat from Amazon:

Fitted a sport hazard surround as the previous owner had fitted a non-sport. So hard to find good condition used plastics but at least it’s orginal! Any other suggestions?

Also got a new passenger side mirror cap as the orginal had some scratching on it, need to machine...
Got under and had a proper look and it had just literally popped out. No rips or tears etc so oil has been ordered and Alex is popping by next Saturday to reattach and fill the oil back up.
Thanks again for peoples help :-)
To be fair it’s all part of the fun. But I’ll get someone to do it for me so I know it’s done right as I have zero experience!
Been quoted £250 by a mobile mechanic I use for tyres for fixing that plus fitting the suspension on each side, fitting a new exhaust and fitting a Brembo conversion...
Hi Guys,
As some of you may have seen I have been getting my 172 Cup back to standard(ish) mint condition. Part of this was changing the coilovers back to 172 Cup shocks with cooksport springs.
Have the car on axel stands and removed the coilovers. Have built the new suspension and the top nut...
Hi Guys,
One of my a pillar sensor brackets is broken, and I really can’t find anywhere to get them. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
