Instead of standard eurocarparts do center section and back for £112, yes they are mild steel so will rust but then so will the originals.
If it lasts a year i'll be happy as it gives me more money to put into the suspension now.
Update- cambelt has been done , it was stamped in the service book and i was looking in the wad of billls.
However it was done 5000 miles ago but in 2011 so it's due to be done next year anyway.
Yeah that's the plan , cambelt, quiet exhaust and oild change although i might do that myself.
The dip stick is the little one at the front of the engine isn't it? couldn't find another.
Well it's home and despite a folder full of bills , there's no bill for a cambelt change grrr.
On the plus side there's a bill for £700 worth of kw adjustable coilovers and £400 worth of brake upgrades.
Put the deposit down on a clio 172 cup today.
Everything seems fine apart form the exhaust is too loud, i couldn't do over 70mph due to the racket, so any suggestions as to what to replace it with, something less lairy and suitable for the motorway.

Just got a clio renaultsport 172 cup for £1200.
Cambelt was done 5000 miles back, clutch seems fine, no knocking sounds in 1st/2nd gear so gearbox mount seems fine.
It has a aftermarket exhaust and bloody hell it's loud , couldn't do more than 70 on the motorway due to the noise so that...
