Personaly i think its a crap idea removing it. But if you must then you need the alternator and brackets from a non aircon 172 cup, a shorter belt to bypass the pump and a lower spec clio rack. You need a rack designed for a car with an electric coloum, this will give you the same turns lock to...

No, as I said at begining of day its supposed to be fun not dangerous. If someone makes you not want to come again then it needs to be sorted. Id never met his mate before and none of them in that car had done trackdays before. I suspect it was his mate but they all span that thing.
