I reckon by the time I get the nearside done, I will have paid for the car again from when I got it in 2004!
It's strangely worth it though. Almost like you feel like you have a duty to the car to look after it - lol.
I am really pleased with it - just wish I had enough ££££ set aside to do both sides at once! :)
As for the company name - this is where it gets really confusing!
So, Bury Motor Bodies is the firm I used here. Though technically, they are a few miles north of Bury itself and are closer to me...
New panel fitment.
Paint booth.
Arch area protection.
Door getting painted too.
Almost done.
Finished article.
Overall, I was very happy with the service that Rob and Mark provided. So much so that I won't have any issues going back to them for Part 2 of the refurb -...
So, after a while of procrastination, I bit the bullet and decided to get the offside rear panel sorted. As most will be aware, the crap design of the fuel filler area and the lottery of the cill protection means that rust can be on a sliding scale of pretty much zero to a clump of brown metal...
Still hate and detest the things, but I do like reading your updates on it!
I think as a work's car - I'd be treating it like you do - why not? And if given the (cheap) opportunity to have one through work, I'd probably say yes and treat it like an appliance on four wheels that it is/was. We...
Hmmm - that would have a been a major coincidence for that not to have been audible before.
Definitely seems to be from the left side of the engine, looking at it from the front of the car. Hope you get it sorted.
Turns out I was a complete tool with this - with a small caveat!
So - all was good using Windows 10 as mentioned - proof of this is that I managed previously to update the firmware on the NZXT fan controller. Therefore, I had it in my head that the issue could not have been hardware related...
It's a good idea - just too ahead for its time.
Maybe in the next decade, Amazon Prime Gaming will try something similar - but I think it needs to support more generic rather than proprietary hardware. Literally, a Smart TV with app installed + mainstream controller + internet connection.
The...
I agree - it's a very fun and playable game, but I wouldn't necessarily class it as being great.
It's ironically much harder in the earlier stages of the game. You have little cash, a bobby basic mech equipped with a few pew-pews and not much else. If that mech gets severely battered, the costs...
We have some people showing concern with a few damp patches of oil on the top of their undertrays. But wow - that's taken a good spraying there!
Personally, I'd be a bit twitchy about the alternator getting a good coating too - but then again, I know jack about electrics.
Welcome aboard to the...
So....... thread bump!
Got this - completed the main campaign and have just but one achievement left.
As the game has no multiplayer lobby as such, I can't simply join an existing game, five times over. It relies on an invite code to be shared between players (like it's an early LAN game...
Totally get the logic of the OP on this - it's one of those slight niggles that I've just got used to over the years. I'd much prefer a tap down on the stalk to do a single sweep - more so when you've jet-washed the thing and get running streaks for the next couple of miles.
Worked brilliantly...
A simple count help, this time around - if possible please?
I might have already gone a step too far and got myself into a dead-end - but here goes.
I've got an export of circa 32,000 rows of sales orders that had at least one order line of our top selling product within it. I now want to...
Anyone got the NZXT CAM software controlling a NZXT fan controller?
I mentioned it a while back in this thread and it is/was a great little device. But since switching to Windows 11, the CAM software simply cannot control the fans. They are on basic standard speed - literally doing nothing...
So - I had a hour or so set aside to replace the knock sensor on my 182. I'd done it before (years ago) and was all calm in setting about it.
What my brain must have forgotten in those intervening years, was to question which whore of Satan arse at Renault, decided to place the sensor directly...
Still can't fully get on with SOL.
Just done a practice at Donington - full heavy thunderstorm enabled within SOL itself. I get the loud thunder sound effects and miserable grey clouds - but not a hint of rain anywhere.
Got to be a setting/tickbox somewhere that I'm missing off.
Bit of a thread bump here.
So I continued having a try at golf games on the PC. The next obvious title as others have mentioned - was The Golf Club 2019. I bought that, tried it and had a some fun with it.
However, there were many aspects of the control method that were downright luck, rather...
Very true. You'd be there for years trying to get the money via multiplayer.
Speaking of which - the easiest way to get the X-number of wins online achievement is to host a game and get a mate to join you. Select a small oval - and set the race to one lap. You win the race in no time and simply...
Random rattle when opening and closing the boot lid started this week. Sounded like a clip had come loose.
Took the inner boot liner off and out fell a 10mm nut from one of the mounting bolts of the wiper motor. Put it back on and nipped up the rest, though not too much as they appeared to have...
So true.
Chuck a load of additional items to fill those slots and you can compromise the availability and throughput of the lanes.
If my SoundBlaster card didn't utterly trounce the onboard mobo audio - I'd remove that too and just have the graphics card solely occupying a slot.
Epic looking RS Turbo there. Thankfully I'm old enough to remember when they were held in such regard. A family member had an XR3 from new back in the day - the first car I was ever in that passed an indicated 100mph. 🙂
I remember at the security office at Plymouth uni back in the mid 90s -...
Another shout out for @NorthloopCup - assuming you haven't got your gearbox sorted yet?
Did a superb job at sorting mine out after receiving some 'driveshaft-goes-BOOM' damage.
