I guess it is a balancing act with progression. I recall in GT2 (?) that I did a 30 minute endurance race and was awarded a DENSO Supra. It actually ruined the game for me as this thing would pretty much trounce anything else in an eligible category.

Lol - somehow I managed to get a 2:1 at uni and spent too much time on the PC back then. Simpler times!

The symptoms I had above were the same when it turned out to be the upstream oxygen sensor that had packed in. Occasional EML - no obvious issues with performance, stunk of fuel and tailpipes that looked like a VAG diesel test. Got it swapped and all was good.

I reinstalled BF1 on a whim, purely to have another dabble at the excellent campaign mode, which I found much more enjoyable than that of BFV. Seems strange that my PC takes a massive performance hit if I set it to run in DX12 and not DX11. Literally unplayable.
