Bought and used the Glaco polish and seal set at the weekend. My god, sod using any other product going forwards. So easy and brilliant results. Highly recommended and beading from 45mph. No need for wipers above 50-60mph.
Thanks for the replies. I was under the impression that Fairy Liquid contained salts that could damage paintwork. Angel Wax Stripped-ease looks like a good shout, or tardis since it'll be part of the wet stage. Thanks.
What's the best thing to use to strip all LSP products? I have the time to wash and touchless decontaminate but unlikely the time to properly polish the fun car, so I'm going to apply a ceramic coating that apparently goes some way to hide the swirls. I'd like to create the best surface possible...
I bought second season tyres and wheels from Germany eBay. Around £500 for the lot. All with 7+mm of tread and as the point was made above, change the wheels over myself rather than paying £20 a tyre.
The new tech goes way over my head (and I don't think my eyes can judge a difference...). If we're looking at a new 43", is there anything wrong with the Panasonics? £300 seems low - the last TV I bought was 5+ years ago was £700. Is that just the way?
Can someone remind me if this is a lacquer issue and therefore will need spraying again? Or is it surface of the plastic and therefore I can get away with applying a ceramic sealant after wet dry/polishing?
Golf mk7 if it makes any difference.
What are the go to DA pads these days? Used to use 3M perfectit, lake country ccs or more recently (three years ago) the carpro ones… much of a muchness?

Christ that is one shitty report. An enormous amount generalisation and umpteen holes in the research methodology and labelling. You couldn't get any more broad brush if they tried. They may as well have stated a larger percentage of speeding is done by red cars over blue because most Ferraris...
I clearly have no idea how this forum works with multi quotes but thank you all for the comments.
Rob, funnily enough my go to thought after posting. Worth a look see.
Tom, spot on buddy, thanks fella and hope you're well.
Mr Trebus... Daniel?! Too abrasive for the plastic screen. I'm trying...
My rear screen is neither heated nor made of modern materials and therefore steams up and doesn't displace water that well. It's also a relatively shallow angle so water doesn't necessarily bead off it at higher speeds.
What would you use inside for demist and outside for water displacement...
A few to add from 8 weeks in the office 5 days a week…

Any views on its capacity to hide marks? My chimaera was recently washed by a specialist and I presume they used a scourer. Haven’t the time to fully correct, sadly.

Yes believe it is and spotted that video about vans and Amaroks, but wondered if that's like saying all K series engines will s**t their head gaskets when in fact it's because the engines were used in heavy old beasts like Freelanders...
An views on the BiTD 240 in a B8 Passat? My father's Alltrack is about to hit 150k miles (yes, barely run in) and he fancies a change. There's a nice one up for sale from a main dealer, so added bonus of 2/2/2 warranty etc.
Where are you driving?! I’ve never smashed a wheel so hard it’s damaged it to that extent. Frequently drive in the Lakes.
