Well im going to view a 200 tonight and if its any good, im going to put a deposit down. Next will be sourcing an engine and box, then deciding whether me and my mate can do the swap on my drive, or whether it requires a professional, in which case i may just pay for a drive in/drive out...
Anyone seen that tidy RSX forsale on Pistonheads and the MLR ? Looks lovely, but i couldn't justify buying it and using it daily, nor could i justify buying it and not using it (garage queen).
I didn't even know they existed until he bought it. He's just used it as his daily whilst he's been tweaking his Evo wagon ready for the daily hack. Im amazed at how clean it is tbh... whoever buys it will have a minter on their drive that i have a feeling will only go up in value. Shame he's...
The wheels in question are Evo 8 MR wheels. They are very weak and it worries me that they will be damaged due to the high temperatures used when baking them. They say its best to just get them painted...
yeah something like that
Looking for somewhere to get some alloys refurbished & painted (not powder coated - due to wheels being painted don't react well to heat used in powder coat baking).
Anyone have any recommendations please?
My ph1 was the best handling and most fun to drive out of the 5 clio's (1x ph1, 1x 172 cup, 3x 182FF) i owned, so i would expect the trophy to drive and feel better than that... not driven a Trophy though so couldn't comment properly.
These are really starting to grow on me, seen a few at work and having driven at GP2 when they first came out and loved it, could be a potential replacement for me!
Looks good!
I quite like the rear diffuser in the first picture, but the pictures following that, it looks like its just been stuck on top of the original bumper?...
I was looking at these at the time of ordering my Golf... @Cribert and i talked a fair bit about the Meg... i went and test drove them both and the golf felt the faster car and more along the lines of what i wanted. I think being 4WD helped in putting the power down, but looking back now the...
Cheers mate. Yeah an M135i got down in the village along from mine a week after my Golf. Week before that, another Golf R and a Grey Focus ST got done too.
Nice purchase... this was on my radar along with a focus RS as my next car after the golf. Its a shame you haven't driven a mk 7 Golf R, would have been interesting to see your comparison. I'm guessing its probably the exact same, but with a much much better sounding engine!!!
Enjoy mate
Going to view this on weds... anything i need to be looking out for ?
Copy and paste the link below into a web browser as it wont work just by clicking on it for some reason...
Absolutely not @Ant1
This is something ive been looking at to replace the golf, but worries me about the attention it draws still like the golf. I need a family barge so it ticks literally all the boxes!
re: 2.5 engine, its the same lump that goes into the UK Hawkeye impreza STI IIRC. The JDM...
Lovely motor!
Can never get my head around the hate for VXR's. Agreed with the comments on sound, they are one of the nicest sounding 4 pot turbo's i've heard. There is a stigma of chav attached to them, but apart from that i like them a lot, fair play! What are the VXR's like for reliability...
