That noise is the same one they all make when you rotate one wheel back and forth.
It could have got some wear internally within the diff though if it’s particularly loud.
You sir, are a legend! I shall drop you a pm later on with the details in. I have a picture of the original circuit board so you can see what’s what as well. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Anyone on here handy with PCB’s? I have a board that sends out a PWM signal to imitate a RC receiver. But the signal I need it to put out as well is a PPM signal.
I’ve looked online for PWM to PPM converters, but the ones available aren’t really suitable. Ideally I would like to...
The hardwork is getting an ecu to run the cam sensor that’s on the 197/200 in a 1*2. The ability to run the full vvt is the reason why it’s worth doing.
Drilling and tapping a hole for the tensioner is very easy.
You need to drill a hole in the cylinder head for the timing belt tensioner so it’s the same as a 1*2.
Lots of work. You need to use to the mk3 inlets as well. 1*2 will not work.
That my friend is the clio mk3 cup racer roof scoop. Mine was a genuine one, but I’m pretty sure cm composites copied them - so I imagine they’ve been copied by the other companies now.
Great bit of kit and they work amazingly well.
I made 230bhp using Megane 225 injectors and a standard fuel pump. The fuel system was totally stock except for the injectors.
100% the standard injectors are NOT up to the task @Oddesy
What an absolute pucking fenis he was!
Clearly has knowledge of dildos and pegging going by one of his posts. I heard on the grapevine his girlfriend called him a paedo. He replied telling her, that’s a big word for a 12 year old.
It’ll be the same as shimming the standard oprv mate, so yes it has been done and I’ve done it myself. Small penny washers are all that’s required to do the job of shimming.
Shim the rear stub axles so you’ve either got parallel or slight toe in. It’ll help the turn in massively.
Some stuff called shim steel is your friend for this.
Well 80hrs ain’t that much on a road engine, but on a race engine it’s quite a lot mate.
There’s not much scope for increasing the oil pressure on the formula setup either as the oil pump is pretty s**t tbh.
Get a piece of 25mm silver steel (from memory the cam journals are that size) and put it in place of the exhaust cam. If it turns freely, the cam journals are worn and the head is essentially scrap. You can get the cam journals line bored, but I’ve only found one place in the UK that could do it...
Do you have vvt? Or is it not used on the formula engines?
The exhaust cam journals wear out and you lose oil pressure there. You can run an oil restrictor in the block to help improve oil pressure as well.
Update on this! My mate has been driving the clio like a hooligan with the blackline diff installed, and it’s all positive noises coming out of his mouth.
On track tomorrow. 👍🏻👍🏻
I’ve got a 129 (same as a 130, just has a speedo drive) that I can build up? It will be fully rebuilt and reliable.
Pm me if you’re interested @HarleyV123 👍🏻
You’ll probably find that the diff is worn internally - namely the planet gears have worn into the casing. It’s boot unusual to see tbh, but it means you’d need a new diff regardless.
I know the exact noise you’re describing and I can confirm the noise when up in the air is normal. As is the...
