Looks fine to me . It does look ever so slightly out of line , but that'll be determined by how your exhaust sits on the hangers in the middle and rear of your exhaust . How is the exhaust clamp between the centre section and the other end of the De cat ? Personally I think the whole design is a...
I'm not sure about the first pic . But the 2nd pic won't be Mintex discs , just pads , it's cleverly worded to make it sound like the whole package is made by Mintex . Alot of the adverts ebay mislead you in this way.
Just go with standard Brembo HC discs , pads and OE rear discs with the...
I've had a couple of sets on RS2's on my 182 and liked them , now I'm on my 2nd set of RS3's . Both the 2's and 3's can feel quiet squirmy at first , It's something you get used to with time . With the RS2's I upped the tyre presure a few psi . Also with the RS3's I made sure I got the higher 87...
I ran mine with a rattling dephaser for a good 12 months . I took it to Mick at Diamond motors , lucky that I did actually , because the water pump was on It's way out too . So the answer to your question is yes , if it is the dephaser , which is highly likely from the description of it sounding...
Obviously one of the sellers was wrong then. One of the parts would fit oem . Like I said , i have no idea about 1.2s but an exhaust is an exhaust and a clamp is a clamp. The only real way to tell would be take off your CAT and place it side by side with the decat and the new centre section then...
Are you sure that you've got the right decat for your centre section ? In your first 2 pics it looks like it should mate up , but in your latest pic it doesn't look as if it will no matter what clamp you use .
Its the age old debate . Tyres are quite a personal thing , suiting different driving styles . One person will love one tyre , thinking they're the best thing since sliced bread whereas another will slate that very same tyre . Personally I hated Toyos , I thought they were the worst tyre I've...
I've been running Uniroyals on my 182 for a few years now . Rainsport 2's now Rainsports 3's . Where I live it rains alot . I can't fault them in the dry and in the wet they really give you the confidence to push on .
@Bensatreemonkey . In 172 guise 195 45 16's they're only £48.29 per corner...
I don't know anything about 1.2 exhausts , but looking at that pic the clamp looks too big . What size is it ? You probably need a 50mm clamp so each side of the clamp doesn't actually meet up when you tighten the nuts...
Another  for Diamond Motors . It's only about 1hr 30 mins for you. I've used Mick a couple of times now , and it's a 5 - 6 hour round trip from the North West for me, but well worth it . I just jumped on a train to Nottingham from Long Eaton , cost less than a fiver return , tram from train...
Same here for me . I've had mine from new and it's 10 years old now . It has full service history , some Renault and some Specialist ( Diamond motors) and all the invoices in my folder etc..... I don't plan on selling mine either . But If i was to sell it , I'm sure it would be a far more...
It's quite a few years ago I refurbed this wheel I bought off ebay as a spare. It was quite badly scratched , nothing too deep but needed filling. So i used Isopon metalik filler.
As others have said , prep is very important . Keeping the the wheel dust/grease free. Also like @M90SR advised ...
If the calipers are still on the car ? You can remove the brake pads and carriers and gently press the brake pedal , the piston will pop out that way . Obviously you're gonna lose some fluid , but you can clamp the hose afterwards.
Not much to say really on your part , other than show them the footage and then ask them what they intend to do about the boy . I'm sure they won't be happy . If it hadn't been your car it would have been someone elses. He was obviously primed and ready to throw the stone at a passing car. He...
As you can see . A can has of worms has been opened in your abscence CS style
If it was me , I'd be ringing Renault asap . That way you'll have a definitive answer and then you can take it from there. I hope you get the old girl back on the road , especially with it having sentimental...
The first port of call is to Phone Renault , they'll have it on their records if the bonnet catch was ever changed. I far as I'm aware , it was only replaced with the same bonnet catch , it wasn't an updated design. Also the OP can check if there is a blue sticker on the slam panel like in the...
That would be his only option . Going through his insurance it'll be written off
@klm182 There have been lots of cases about this happening , it was even featured on BBC Watchdog a few years ago. Iirc Renault tried to blame it on poor maintenance and people not closing their bonnets correctly ...
That'll be a write off for sure . A £3000 bill for a car that's worth roughly £3000 . The first recall letters were sent out around 2008 , then a 2nd batch of letters were sent out in 2013 for all those who didn't take up the offer the first time to replace the bonnet catch. It was replaced free...
I'd be lying if i said I knew exactly how old the pics are. I'm only guessing but I'd say about 3 or 4 years old , straight after a good wash , polish and wax. I don't take many pics. It does have age related marks as you'd expect from a car of this age and it would benefit from a pdr guy...
Stunning car . The yellow stripes look good , they sort of follow on from the yellow Brembos . I'm not really a fan of the yellow wing mirrors though , they look a bit out of place to me .
