    two quick cruise questions.

The dial over reads ever so slightly compared to what you set your cruise control speed at . Also what you set your cruise control speed to will be slightly over what your actual speed is compared to gps . i.e. set it at 70mph and you'll be doing about 68mph . Haven't got a clue about the faulty...

Can someone identify the make of this exhaust please

I had a Powerflow many moons ago on my 172 , granted it only has one backbox but it was only £230 new . There's nothing wrong with them imo . Offer him £150 , tell him you think its a Powerflow and they're not much more than that new . If you don't ask , you don't get in this world :tonguewink...

Can someone identify the make of this exhaust please

It's not a Miltek . Looks more like a Powerflow or custom jobby to me .

    Greetings all

Pics are working now . You've got the same FH55 part of your reg number as me . I'm guessing yours was from Motorpoint too originally and one of the last 182's registered . Not keen on the wheels though . It'll look better when you get the original wheels refurbed and back on

    Greetings all

Welcome to CS . Good colour choice ,but I'm slightly biased  Your pics aren't showing for me for some reason ? Personally I prefer the standard wheels on a 182 . I just think they look better. Go for a Skoda Fabia splitter , they dont break like the originals and cost a fraction of the...

    Xenon Bulbs - Which One's?

From what I understand . The 6000k are more blue and probably light up the road less . The 5000k imo are actually better than the oem 4300k as they light up the road ahead a bit further and brighter.

    Xenon Bulbs - Which One's?

OEM are 4300k . I've been running 5000k which are slightly whiter than oem for the last 3 years from hidsdirect and they've been spot on . I'd seen quite a few recommendations for these on CS before I bought them. http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/d2s-35w-hid-xenon-bulb-set/

    Good point & click camera

Another vote for Panasonic . I have a TZ20 , had a few years now . Takes good pics and video/sound . I take it to any gigs I go to . It's about the same size as a packet of fags so fits easily into my pocket .

    Intermittent starting problem 182

Could be a few things . I had an intermittent problem a while a go . I took off the tdc sensor , cleaned it and it's been fine ever since ( touch wood ) It seems to be quite a common problem , and If i remember correctly it doesn't show any codes . Have a search for tdc sensor on here and see...

    Uniroyal Rainsport3 tread direction??

Just nipped out and checked mine and they're exactly the same . Both front and rear passenger side the tread is going up as in the OP's pic , drivers side front and rear the tread is the opposite way as in the OP's pic. Personally I think they're a brilliant tyre in both the wet and dry ...

Buying a clio 182 with no service history

The Cambelt , Aux belt , Dephaser and Water pump service etc ........ is really the major thing . Lots of other minor things on cars that are 10+ years old . Injectors seem to be quite a common problem lately on the forum . Lambda sensors , tdc sensors , brake calipers seizing ........ all...

Buying a clio 182 with no service history

It's due the major service now , if you go off Renaults 5 year recommendation . According to the MOT history, 60k miles was June 2011. So you're looking at another £600 on top of the £2500 straight away. The one @imprezaworks mentioned has s**t loads of history , receipts , lots of money spent.

It looks ok . Just says service history available , not what history , no mention of belts etc ........... which is what people want to know.

FF182 Aux belt shredded. Engine dead. Where next?

So what did the dealership actually say or mean when they said they'd look after you ? Are they going to fix the engine or just investigate what went wrong ?

    182 back boxes

No aftermarket exhaust or backbox will sound as quiet as the original . 3 years isn't a long time for the standard back box to rot through though . Stainless is the only way to go , it'll last llonger than car itself. As said Miltek or Scorpion 192 is about as quiet as you'll get for an after...

FF182 Aux belt shredded. Engine dead. Where next?

If they do fob you off , ring Renault Customer services . 0344 335 0000. Even if the belt is 1 month out of warranty , it shouldn't fail . It needs to be looked at why it was defective , bearing in mind the service interval is 3 years or 36,000 miles for the Aux belt which it should easily out...

What in-car phone holders / setups do people use?

I've been using this one for the past 18 months or so . It's never come loose from the window once in all that time , unlike other suction holders I've had over the years . http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/47851-olixar-dock-go-car-holder-Reviews.htm#reviews

FF182 Aux belt shredded. Engine dead. Where next?

Sorry to hear about your car , not good :unamused: The first thing I'd do would be contact the dealership that did the service . It needs investigating why it should fail in such a short space of time and hardly any miles . I wouldn't let anybody else touch it until the dealer has looked at it.

    My New Corolla T-Sport

Cracking looking motor , shame about the fag burns . You can get a smart repair done . I had one done on my old 172's seat that had a fag burn . It was totally invisible afterwards. Your seats might be a bit of a b*****d to match though . It's worth looking online for car seat smart repairs in...

    BATTERY & STOP dash lights

You're probably better off getting Mick to sort it when you get it serviced . He'll give your car the once over and let you know about any other problems you might have. Engine noise

I'd actually booked mine in for its major service , all the belts etc with Mick at Diamond motors ......... Only when I'd had all that done did he discover how bad the water pump was. Renault on the last major service had actually used a none genuine water pump which had only lasted about 28K ...
