its the way of the world at the mo. cant have a go at the OP for doing things properly, at least theyre honest.... good luck with the car mate. although i probly would have gone tpft.
will do you well to build up some no claims and poverty french has less to go wrong.
this was me in my 172 cup... sort of defeats the object of having the car imo....i was only getting 230-280 miles to a tank with normal driving though..300 at a push crawling down the motorway...
(before anyone says, my foot was not heavy neither was the car playing up)
and no one lets you...
first one looks great... i'd be sorting the paint and setting the engine straight but other then that those wheels look smart. could that be the new turini??? lol
dont suppose its similar to any of the later pug parts... e.g 106/206/saxo etc...nice little project you have going on here...every hot hatch fan has a soft spot for these
shall i pop round with a valve removal tool? can show them how to do it?
you do take some stick though schwep...i think its cos most people on here hype the story up with tall tales of baseball bats and the underground lol
each to their own....i loved my cup but, all round my (bottom of the range poor mans) bmw 320d is a better car in every aspect apart from speed and chuckability...if the clios were built with german build quality i'd have another one as a daily drive in a second.....would be the perfect...
my cup suffered a similar fate...tried the dephaser and that didnt work... turned out to be a sha99ed top end including the cams... was swiftly got rid of...
mine got louder and quicker with revs until it was going so quick the noise blurred was still there though.
i'm up for this (as always) no go karting for me though.......bloody bad back!..can't make the coombe action day due to a wedding... know where i'd rather be!
sounds like my beloved cup did.....we thought dephaser pulley turned out to be most of the top end had failed and found swarf in the top of the engine....ran well and was blindingly fast for what it was but just got louder and louder.
