I'm comparing my avg mpg to my friends mpg, as we both do mostly town driving and no motorway so its a direct comparison. I get 29mpg, he gets 32mpg so pretty insignificant for me. I accept it has light steering around town, but as in the video and from personal experience its well weighted when...

It looks pretty fast and fun when driven straight after a lighter than light 'proper drivers car', and thats on standard 197 suspension not cup suspension. I know that people often say that the 197 is a poor drivers car because its heavy and because the steering has no feel...
nope, to open the doors the key card has to be pretty close to the car ie within a couple of feet. if i walk say 10ft away from the car with the card you cant open it.
Media? whats up mate they are pretty easy to remove you just need the HU keys. if they didn't come in your owners pack you can buy them from halfrauds for about a fiver
I didn't, if you dont wanna make the trip dont. There are people who come from isle of mann which Im sure is much more hassle than a car drive who dont whine every year about making the journey and that FCS should be held on their doorstep though are there? no-one from devon is saying it should...
^from what I recall you scots were the ones asleep in the car the following day whilst we were still standing despite the alcohol on the previous night ;)
I was gonna say they are about as fast as each other but the 197 has better safety features so your less likely to hurt yourself in it, lower group. The 197 is grp 15 the 1*2 is a grp 16. made about £200 difference to my insurance quotes.
Easy norm, its Ryans car and its upto him how he does his turbo conversion. Your opinion has been made clear multiple times you dont need to keep going on about what you would do if it was your project please. Thanks
b*llock 700hp, 50psi is a lot to put through any turbo ffs and look out the side of his car when he's planting it its not going anywhere fast for that kind of power in a small car
you will love a 197 I guarantee it! I have played mine against my friends 172 and straight line speed they are a dead heat theres nothing in it and this was pretty much the same with the guys in convoy to FCS this year aswell and remember my engine wasn't worn in properly yet its still loosenin...
I've not named the clio as I wouldn't be able to abuse it if I associated with it as anything more than a car. However the guys at work named the 200SX 'jiggy' because of the number plate so very quickly i stripped its guts and abused it lol, the name went soon after...
I wouldn't worry about getting the car back aslong as the work is good but make sure you make the most detailed inspection ever before accepting the keys because the insurance approved garages will always push for the repair even if it means cutting corners because thats how they get paid where...
I was just about to ask when would the fix be put on factory built cars I got mine in March and it has only had an issue with kangaroo'in once or twice but generally drives fine?
I would take it as a compliment as I'd hope any-one who I have pinched ideas from would. Theres very little to be done 'new' or original in the modding game without it looking sh*t imo.
ace, I was told that on a turbo engine an open filter is better than a closed one as it'll suck more air in, it doesn't matter that there will be heat soak as it'll be cooled through the intercooler before it gets to the motor. also, a front mount on a wee clio is cool
