do the TCEs have an intercooler? if so I wouldn't worry too much about the heat soak in the filter it will be cooled before it gets to the engine...

I think they were around the £16k mark brand spanker but Im not sure. LY is only R27s though so they'll fetch a higher price however You would easily get a ff 197 from a dealer for that price if you go through www.renaulsport.co.uk forums. Speak to David Cooper IIRC from warrington arnold clarke...

No I didn't pay list price for mine but even now with the price I've paid if I was to sell it on I have lost atleast £3k in 7 months. Thats a huge loss even though I paid less than list when I bought the car.

Renault especially seem to have awful depreciation aswell. Love my car but hate the badge on it...

^Trust me mate when you push the car you can knock the back out and put a smile from ear to ear in the 197, sure enough its more refined than the 172 and doesn't give you a 'kick' at some point in the rev range but the chassis is superb and you can have plenty of fun in the car, and it does feel...

not bad, I remember looking into getting around 300hp for mine and the GT28R was recommended but to get a reliable 300hp I was looking at £3k as I cant do mechanics for the life of me lol, there were quite a few bits I was told I'd need, most of which you have listed there I think...

^I 100% agree with the pheonix gold, I have used them in my last 3 cars and they sound amazing, unless you were spending big money for a high end system I seriously doubt you would notice any difference between the pheonix gold or a set of £150 components

erm, I dont think you'll need performance mods given that your only young and you'll be coming from a 1.2, insurance WILL be stupid though for you, its stupid for me on my 197 and I'm 22...
