@Knuckles
they were a standard weight saving part of the cups design, pov spec seats over a heavier padded leather spec seat. its a tiny weight save, but each little bit helps and like i said, if youve got a cup you dont want to add weight especially for a luxury mod really or it defeats the...
might have had the interior swapped from a 172 cup (usually as a luxury upgrade for the cup). ive seen loads of 172 cups with the half leather fitted. kinda defeats the point of it being a 172 cup though if youre going to add heavier non cup parts to it lol. mine will be most definitely keeping...
@drjekyll
yes pal here you go :-)

their light temps are pretty accurate. ive fitted quite a few
4300 is as close to standard as you can get
6000 is pure white
8000 is like 25% hue of blue added
10000 is...
the switch for the airbag is on the passenger door but this only kills the passenger airbag not the drivers.
the connectors under the seat are rubbish and always fail anyway and the airbag never goes off then... but id still disconnect the battery to be on the safe side. if the airbag does go...
35w is the norm. 55w will be way too bright trust me. if you want a decent kit go on ebay and search 'sun wolf'. these kits are great with auto slim ballasts and will do as good a job as hids direct but much cheaper.
be aware that your beam pattern will be all over the shop if its a standard...
on a brand name aftermarket radio yellow is battery and red is ignition. make sure the yellow is on battery permanent. this keeps your radio settings. the red turns the radio on/off and may be on a timed circuit. you could do with a test light to be sure.
get in the car and shut the door with...
^ha ha very good. if we are all on the same wavelength i assume he means the 172 engine feels like its ott for the bean can mk2 clio its fitted in, where as the 197 engine feels right at home in a mk3? i love the mk2s overpoweringly unsafe tin can feel.... they never get boring to drive thats...
typical isnt it! was the one in lancs on ebay? if it was i saw that! there are two really nice looking ones on ebay atm but theyre up for 3k! bit too pricey that for me but they look really clean
ha ha i just bought a 172 cup last week to replace my 172 with. mine will be for the road though. well chuffed with it. took me ages to find one local though, they all seem to be on the south coast lol
hi jme. depends how much youre paying. if youre after one to love - pay out extra to make sure the belts have been done beforehand - £2k max imo for something mint on a 172. if youre after a shed to get to work in and dont care if it blows up (like my workhorse lol), sub £1000 all day
^this. too many people wanting to use the search function and not actually communicate. i know most of time theres already an answer but i want first hand views not 6 year old posts. how tos i agree use search but anything else....
ive switched and always come back. last car i had was an impreza (3rd impreza ive owned) and im
being as honest as i can by saying that it was nowhere near as fun to own/drive as the clio. theyre more of a weekend starry eyed car to own than a daily. also the price on imprezas is increasing...
cant beat a clio 1*2 dude i love them. ive just sold my scoob wrx (3rd one ive owned) and i can firmly say the clio is more nimble and most importantly - just more fun to be in. best bang for buck car ever
the problem i find with dealer listings is they always seem to be overloaded with all the useless universal information like what the seats are made of, if there are xenon lights etc. most of the time these specs are always typical of the model of car, id be more interested in them just putting...
im not missing the point, but if we werent going to talk about stuff that hasnt been done before this forum would horribly stall and wed all be looking at 1/2/3 year old posts rather than COMMUNICATING with each other. also not everyone on here has been a member since day one, sometimes even...
very impressive, cant help thinking why bury that much into a clio when you could get an evo that would peel your face off for that money (with plenty of change) however cant knock the effort factor though and well worthwhile at that price! you buying it then? lol :-)
have over 400 fb on ebay and i can understand people getting annoyed at low offers. most times ive counter offered i never get a reply back, but i suppose everyone wants a bargain and its only fair to try. i offered a guy 1500 for his mk5 55 plate astra, 3 door sri on 140k, with full service...
i always sell on ebay but one thing i will never do is an auction, always a 30 day classified for £15. last auction i did (not that its the same in everyones case) attracted a bidder that, suprise surprise didnt show so i learnt my lesson there plus the amount of items you see where its been...
just spoke to a trader i know. he said that you always have consumer rights regardless, but if youve bought the car under the pretence that it had no warranty, should something go wrong itll be the blood and stone scenario and take ages to get a result (if any) as hes bound to dig his heels in...
pretty sure that if youve accepted a reduction in price based on the removal of the warranty then youd be kippered on come back. if the dealer has any sense hed put it in writing and get you to sign it beforehand
i messaged him about that one when it was up for 1500. said hed take 14 lowest and that was a while ago. tbh phase 1s are becoming harder to come by and that looks pretty tidy. i think it depends on what you want it for. if its to rag then yes its too much, if its to love and care for and if its...
