time to let the wallet cool down... ive transformed it to this from standard in the past 5 months of owning it so im giving it a rest for a bit now lol :p
fit the cage in... bend the tabs round to hold it in... remove the switch panel and as you slide the hu in pull or lift the cables up so they sit on the top of the unit with a grabber tool or long screwdriver why... thats what i do. works everytime
plugs straight in mate... remember to check that your powers are the right way around... i always put the controller on the right hand side of the wheel on top of the pop out panel next to your right knee. DO NOT put it on the steering wheel as i guarantee you will catch it with your hand and...
i would ebay classified ad it (with no text talk either lol).. as it wards off timewasters.. no bidders that win and dont pay up (remember you have to pay the fee still). its down to the driver if they get pulled with no insurance by the way, i know numerous people who have been pulled and gone...
quite easy. bolts in the bottom of the bumper... pop the hood and undo the clips in the grille... then in the wheelarch there are a few bolts but one particular arsey bolt that goes straight up where the bumper joins the wing... that was corroded on mine and was a complete pain bit when it was...
this....
as annoying as it sounds the headlight has to come out which means bumper off. if youre anything like me then your bumper will be 'quick release' after youve done (leave half the bolts out) lol
managed to sort out my annoying rattle today... behind the bottom right control panel next to your right knee 2 plugs were hanging loose and tapping about under the plastics. finally... peace lol. was doing my nut in! :-)
too big and too halfords for me im afraid. on a clio 16" max plus a nice drop is the best way to go. i saw a 182 slammed on coileys the other day on standard 182 rims and even they look massive with a big enough drop! nice car though...
heres mine shortly to be replaced with a similar bluetooth unit thats virtually the same spec

if youve still got the old one then these guys can reprogram it. ive used them before... 2 day turnaround and worked 1st go. the ecu was shot aswell. not sure on a clio but on vag group the ecus are coded differently as they tend to fit more than one model and are programmed in with the a unique...
one notch from the bottom cost me 58 quid of tesco 99 ron last week. that plus a 1-2 ron millers additive aswell lol. i always try to keep it topped up sos not to dredge crap up from the bottom of the tank :-/
i need to sort mine out aswell mate and i have a place local to me that sells the resistors over the counter in singles. if you can hang on i can sort it or try cutting and soldering the connector out. let me know ;-)
no woz dude. i managed to get mine out in about 30 secs but i didnt pay much attention to how i did it... just pulled and twisted. it took bloody ages to get it back in lol ;-)
from what i remember the ballast unit twists and pulls out and comes apart from a locating ring. you need to twist and pull the ring off aswell then the bulb just pulls out
chop it off and rewire on a standard male connector like this...

then convert it if need be to oem with this...

thats what i do :-)
i never earth off a non specific earth bolt already in place tbh but if you were to use the belt point make sure you remove the paint from the body side!
you used a scotch lock from your description... they are pants mate and im constantly redoing other peoples towbar electrics because of those cheapo nasties. connect a good earth loop and drill a hole and take back all the paint so you get a good solid earth and screw it down with a decent star...
ive had the same pioneer unit in my cars for years.. but now im thinking of a bt unit. im also seriously impressed with digital radio aswell. i fitted one in a customers car a few weeks back and its awesome... cd clarity on the airwaves. you dont realise how bad normal radio (the stations and...
gotta love halfords adverts... was 599 lol. that unit has never been 599 lol... but that is a very good price its advertised at now and is about the best youll prob get for the money mate. pioneers come with seperate mics aswell... id try and stay away from inbuilt mics as theyre poor compared...
passenger side is do-able with the light in situ but the drivers side is an absolute no no without removing the front bumper. if youve broken the internal i would think new headlight assy which you will prob get a new bulb and ballast with if youre buying it off here. from what ive seen though...
ahh... then no it wont work as the usb slot must be for flash media only. i would use the original cables in the door tbh. the original speaker cables are good for 3-5 amp so youll have no worries using them with upgraded speakers. you can always go ofc cable etc but depends how much of a job...
