Yeah, I remember you couldn't insure it for a few months lol. I was such a fun reliable car, only ever had the alternator go which was fixed under warranty. Definitely got the RS bug from that car. Still got photos of it :)
Yep, and your old 172 was my old 172 ;-) Now back in a 182 after a few years of driving different things.
That car was the reason I came back to 1*2 driving, never let me down! Must admit I prefer my current 182, then again it does have Recaros!
Mine's my daily driver and I love it to bits, even more so after getting rid of the Parada 2's the previous owner had on and fitting it with a set of ps3's.
They're coming up at £70+ at the mo, is there anywhere cheaper? I need a post cat after the car threw up an emissions fault, plus I'd like to to replace the pre cat now the car's done 65k miles.
Decent brakes and decent tyres - the previous owner put Yokohama Parada's on ... awesome in the dry, like an ice rink as soon as it even thinks about raining. Had a few brown trouser moments!
Luckily they're pretty much shot now so PS3's going on next Tue.
Next ... front brakes!
I'm on my 3rd, with a variety of cars in between. Loving my FF182, apart from the fact that some c##t opened their door into it yesterday and left a whacking great crease down it! Wish I could've caught em!!!!
As above, you were turning left towards Two Gates, I was turning right. Private plate, N13 xxx. Spotted today (Sunday) around 1pm. Got to be someone on here :p
Yeah, looking at your progress thread, its definitely yours. Very smart :-)
I was working at Jones Bootmaker so noticed them parked up along the road ... Always come down from the midlands in a pool car as I'd lose money using my 182 for 400 miles and claiming it back :approve:
Keep checking Argos - some a**eholes out there are reserving consoles and trying the sell the reservation codes on Ebay!!! You just have to wait for the reservations to expire.
If you check in the evenings you might be able to grab a reservation at a store. I had to have two browsers open...
Put it through its MOT. Failed on the condition of a rear tyre. Looks like it was actually the original from back in 2005 and 63k miles ago! When I bought the car a few months back I noticed they were a bit 'weathered' so not a massive surprise.
Apparently it still had legal tread depth too...
The problem is you just know the first DLC packs with be a few MBs at most, simply unlocking the cars in the game as they'll already be modeled. It's just plain wrong, this stinks of an unfinished / rushed game to get it out for the console release. Sony did the same with GT5 to just get the...
Ridiculously easy to swap - I haven't changed them in my current clio, but I did in my previous 172.
Had a set of SPG-13CS speakers in the front and the C2s in the rear. The fronts were a bit evil as the dash had to come off to replace the tweeters, but luckily I left it with Alpine UK's tech /...
That's Sainsburys by Tile Hill isnt it? Shouldn't expect much more, worked across the road from there for a few years (Alpine next to the Jag dealership, then in Elliott Court behind the Citroen dealership) and used to see some sights going down the A45 ... including a few idiots who drove the...
