yeah you could no problems, I had my 6x9s amped and they didn't distort but given the choice I would have rather built them into the rear panel somewhere to help clarity. A decent set of 13cm coaxials should do the trick but if you're running big volume make sure you amp them or they will distort!
They look pretty decent. The speakers in the back door are mainly for rear passengers but I personally like putting 6x9s in the back to help boost mid. A lot of people dont like it but it filled the sound perfectly in my opinion. You would also be ok with things like...
right ok, thanks. I've got a mate who works in a body shop so I might go see him on Monday and ask for some advise too, I need his welding skills for the bootlid.
Blunt :clown: .
skimming over? explain to the novice please ;) Its got a pretty deep dent near the door plus them scrapes. And the new rear quarter would be already painted and probably cheaper than a pro respray due to it being off of an SX thats being broken down on SXOC
black looks good but mine was dirty after a day, which was a pain in the arse. my red car I love how it looks and looks clean for atleast 2-3 weeks so no I probably wouldn't go black again
I've already got a new bumper painted for £50 so thats sorted, the rear quarters pretty bad its worse than the pics so I might get a mate to have a look abotu knocking it out, otherwise a new quarter may be the best way.
hmmm I've not got a welding torch or anything so I might have to go and see a mate to help me with that then. The rust was pretty bad at a couple of spots so I took a grinder to it and it seems so far to just be surface rust which is good.
the repair work has started, I have taken all the plastic things out of the tailgate and started work on repairing the rust around the holes, only a tiny but to do and then I can start sanding it all down. What should I use to fill the holes though? Help greatly appreciated. Thanks
a few bits...
Cheers for the comments :D
Cheers, not quite as nice as your S14 though :(
I'll take it, no more hidden games though :quiet:
Just wait and see how much of a mess I'm likely to make it.
Lowering springs wont be a problem as long as they haven't been cut from bigger springs, xenon sidelights I'd advise to ask a mechanic before going to MOT.
;) Bargain heap son, bargain...
Mechanically its top and it cost me £550! new rear bumper, new rear quarter and Im undecided on the tailgate, I might be able to repair it.
Woo I finally found my S13 today, and its a full on project for me now. Engine will be left stock until I know what I'm doing but I'm going to have a go at repairing the dodgy body panels myself, part stripped interior with some cobra daytonas and that sort of thing. Here she is:
The DVLA told me I could put my plates on straight away at Manchester, 3 days later when I called the police about soem kids throwing something at my car they did a check of the number plates and the car didn't come up, apparently if traffic police pulled me over I would be in a world of trouble...
seriously? because my dad is like, hard as f**k :quiet:
chill out mate, I can understand you being p*ssed about your dash but no-one was being serious on their replies it was just a bit of a giggle.
