well based on symptons it might be the turbo seals. I've just spoken to Turbo Technics who were very very very helpfull and he's suggested to get the car up to running temp, then leave it on idle for about 5 mins and give a sharp foot to the floor rev, if a cloud of blue comes out the turbo...

lol, they were eaten not fed to the car ;)
Its the standard exhaust, from looking at the old turbo its in good condition :S no play in the bearing and everything opens and closes as it should. the blades moves freely and theres no oil lying around in places it shouldn't have been going so that...
nooooooooo :(
after enjoying motoring about for the last couple of weeks I though it was tiem to properly run the car so I went through some country roads nearby and came back down the motorway, it was all nice and fun with lots of pull from the turbo etc etc.
I pulled into mcdonalds for some...
it normally works but there have been some system problems affecting webmap over the last few days, tom was right that normally shows coverage for O2 ;)
Should have called the police and got them both done for assault and vandalism ;) although it probably would have taken them 3-5 days to attend the scene
yes amp them, its upto you where you put the amp but the boot is always a good place is theres plenty of room for it to stay cool. Try and match the wattage to the RATED power of the speaker, if you cant match it go slightly over but try not to underpower the speakers.
I paid £90 with asda for lowering the car and im glad I did. If you're not able to switch the springs yourself you could easily pay atleast that amount to a garage to swap them over again...
haha, not quite what I had in mind I was thinking of fiberglass personally. its getting a standard spoiler put in for a little while whilst I sort the roof out with all the laquer and paint peeling :(
I can appreciate the reason behind it but I really dont like fiberglass dashboards, they look so cold and horrible...
Nice work Tigger :D I might have to ask some advice for my next install ;) Did you build the boot install yourself?
£100 to fit it and considering how much of a pig of a job it can be it seemed reasonable until I have my own space to work on it. If I had some spare cash I'd be buying all sorts for it by now lol, provided the engine is in good condition when it comes back I'll be building it up to atleast...
its a T25, I was told by SXOC its not that hard to do but its gone for a full service and check over to make sure its in ok condition so I figured he would fit the turbo aswell.
Woo new Turbo!!! the mechanic who's fitting it (today :D) thinks he knows why the old one packed up, he had to drain 2 gallons of oil out of the engine before he could get the turbo off
