If the mounting points match then you would be better off without the bush. Valver/williams have the bush on o/s rear subframe mounting point for some reason.
After that carry on adding time to the job took it out for a bit of b road blasting and shopping trip this evening.
Its always been noisy in the back with semi slick tyre whine when on the move which makes it difficult to hear any wheel bearing noise, but did have a resonance 50+ mph. That...
Updates.
CSF done and dusted.
Started with a 6 Hour journey to get to Anglesey which was awful. Heavy traffic with paddle clutch, bosch 044 fuel pump whine, side exit exhaust drone and ds1.11 pads squealing under light braking does not make a relaxed drive. Only fun part of the journey was the...
Battery bulkhead connection is a good way of going through to avoid any chance of chafing wiring. I recall people drilling the centre of the domed bit on passenger side of bulkhead on battery relocation. I put mine higher up behind arch liner as it suited my setup better
Not the worst job to do. The springs on the rear shoes are a pain in the arse though :cautious:
Checked fluids on blue dci yesterday. Went to shut bonnet and it just bounced instead of latching. The catch had stuck open even though its well greased/opened fairly often.
Took it out and the...
Updates.
Blue dci plodding on as usual racking up the miles. Orange dci has not moved for ages due to recent rush to get cars ready for CSF and a bit of driveway congestion.
Anyway took it for a run out on Wed night. Fired up as willing as ever. Started driving and noted brake pedal needed 50%...
I managed to grab a hour to give it a clean earlier this week, evening wash when weather cooled off. First wash did not reveal any issues at all, bodywork needs a few bits of tar removing on lower sides and it needs some protection but will be going for a detail/ceramic coat soon so opted not to...
Cheers all. Was awesome to hear the history from new off the PO, very rarely get the full story from new.
To conclude original owner - around 2015 the car was garaged and didnt move due to work/life etc until recommission this year. A nice dry garage has preserved it so well though.
Previous owner had a ton of pics on his facebook that he let us download. Its great to know the full history from the off. Previous owner (PO) seen it on the back of the car transporter whilst at work waiting for it to be delivered.
In transport for delivery. PO was waiting for delivery and...
Deox c ftw. Drop in and let it do the work.
When you run out buy a kilo of citric acid. Same stuff and super cheap, mix with water and let it do the business.
Another car in the collection and its another meg 250 cup.
Mrs fancied it and bought it. It was too good to turn down as only one owner from new, 17k on the clock, well specced with yellow dot recaros and a couple of mods, 3" ktec exhaust, forge intercooler, itg drop in filter and mapped by...
Papped driving on the first pic!
Thanks for the few laps in it mate, mega bit of kit! Quick too loads of power, box was awesome with flat shift once used to it.
Was great fun in race mode after i stopped been a fanny and knocked the aids off. Probably should have mentioned that it was the...
Next year is the year mate. It was performing mega this year and ive got a few more mods planned, so your in for a treat. Maybe even full slicks if i dare:unsure:
Back after 574 mile round trip. No issues at all epic weekend.
@JamesBryan tools straight in the trackday box 😁
Track was great had loads of seat time and went through a tank of fuel in both. Perfect amount of cars on track.
I would have needed to rotate tyres on both if id done a full day...
Epic day and good to catch up with everybody. Thanks to everybody who made it happen.
Full send in the Extra and Megane, no dramas bar ns front tyre has suffered. Succesful day.
Just luring everybody into a false sense of security ;) fresh rubber, good brakes for the first time ever so should be good to make a bit of progress aslong as nothing falls off/breaks/does french s**t and fails to commence
Mrs not driving this time, she doesnt hang about
