The lead to supply power to the headunit when the ignition is off, so its like unplugging the head unit when you switch off the ignition. Not sure exactly which wire to swap. I think its red/yellow but Im not 100%

That looks ace, the 106 is very nice also. I went to have a look at a couple of these but the interior was a bit boring for me :( Shame because the outsides are very nice.
The Type X's have a much more impressive frequency range, so whilst the RMS handling isn't as high they will sound loads better as they will pick up high/low tones and accents etc that the Type R's would miss. The Type R's should be fine for you though unless you are really serious about you're...
If his car is an import he can legally use import (jap style) plates.
Some-one also said the maximum is a £30 fine, a few times caught and points on your licence. Its a £30 on the spot fine or a trip to court with a maximum fine of £1000 for illegal plates hence me taking off my illegal plates...
Yeah I noticed that, hopefully it willy be less obvious when the bolts are in otherwise some masking tape and a quick spray should do the job.

What he said. Theres a guy I work with who's got is numberplate squished together and his wheels stick out the side of his car. He's not been pulled over and even passed the MOT like that!?

Heres the pics of my wheels finished and lacquered. Some of the scratches can be seen through the paint but with the colour choice you have to be looking for them, so whilst its not perfect Im happy with my 1st attempt:
^ Fingers and toes mate. I would expect my 1st attempt at this to go much worse though, so in a way making the mistake was good as I can learn from it.

So now I have to wait until tomorrow morning when the weather is good and spray a couple of coats inside the wheel, then I can Laquer. So far I'm impressed with my efforts.
