As @JamesBryan said. Sliders prob stuck just had similar issue on my dci, or binding piston.

Updates Weather did not turn out too bad, cold but dry so went for it. All went in very easily. Engine is complete and ready to fire, coolant bled etc. I was going to fire it up but ran out of light/needs a can of fuel as its absolutely on its arse. Not much left to do, refit driveshafts...

Small update. Decat repaired and wrapped with DEI titanium wrap. Looking highly unlikely that ill get engine in this weekend sadly. Need this sleet/snow to go! Thanks for reading!!

I have a halfords 3/8 one and agreed its spot on for the money with the tube case. Might invest in 1/2 and 1/4 for them small fiddly jobs

Snap on techangle is one of the best tools ive bought. I could do with a 1/2 click type torque wrench for wheels and that as my old britool is getting a bit long in the teeth. Thinking halfords one

Small update Box back on, starter etc all bolts torqued. Filled with running in mineral oil and took plugs out/put turbo oil feed into a bottle and span engine over on starter to prime oil system. Oil came out of the feed after a few seconds so thats good, its ready to start. Plugs gapped to...

Its same length as clio2 its mad. I took that massive 50kg ballast weight off the rear and it can pogo a bit in reverse

Weekend update Wheel bearing noise has reduced quite a bit with the fronts done, but still some noise on the back at speed. Its never going to be a fecking rolls royce but can be improved as the drone at 70 is annoying. Got 2x rear bearings from local factors today £25 the pair. Jacked up...

Quick hour again today Turbo on, decat on and torqued. Oil feed/return fitted and torqued. Mocked up boost hose. Doesnt look too bad! Ill crack on with this and get crank seal in and clutch/dmf once off stand, get box back on and see if i can get it in the hole this weekend. Thanks for reading!!

Small problem with the blue dci today! Heard a twang when driving half way down the drive. Jacked up and passenger side spring has snapped half a coil from the bottom. Original springs as far as i know at 162k so cant moan. Ordered a pair from local motorfactors so thats tomorrows job, also...
