Couple of small updates
Stereo had no surround around it and looked crap.
£5 trim to tidy it up.
The silver centre part of the dash still looks a bit shite. Might get a new one or paint it up at some point.
Coilpack studs and nuts fitted. Coil number 4 had no bolt in it initially suprised it...
Cheers mate appreciated, stainless will be spot on.
R26 lsd will make a massive difference. I remember the difference was insane when i changed the stock 225 box to r26 on the mrs ph1 225 back in the day. R26 front arb is worth fitting whilst subframe is off too.
That one above looks mega in white.
Mine is on b14s, still got rear adjusters in. Stock top mounts up front.
No idea on height, i raised one side on the front to level it, driver side iirc as when i got it it was a bit on the piss.
Cheers mate i will absolutely take a pair of them if thats ok. Everything on this looks like its been in the sea!
As far as im aware lower arms for 225/26 are nla and have been for a while. Not a problem with pov spec arms available and easily modded.
Recommend the vibratechnics rear arm...
Thanks all!
Didnt see the wags thread
If the stars have aligned i should get more than 6 laps this year at CSF. Hopefully nothing will go wrong and itll be a good one.
I done exactly the same thing with angle sensor on the squib, pushed connector into the blank hole and was wondering why it wouldnt work. Almost bought a new squib before i seen it
Updates.
More datalogging, still had a slight overboost situation up hills/max load. Ive knocked 1.5 turns of preload off the acutator to lower the base pressure and done extensive datalogging on the road late at night. 100% confident its bang on the money, 22psi tapering to 19psi under full...
Updates.
On way home i took it to my mates to get it on the 4 poster for a good look to see the damage. Id had a quick look underneath but its good to get it up in the air.
Floor looks good.
Turbo oil return is leaking/looks like its been bodged with chemi metal. Whiffs of oil.
Suspension...
Track sounds quick cant wait.
Ill have renolink, can clip and rstuner with me so if anybody has issues on the day shout me. Hopefully wont be using any on the kangoo
Cheers mate!
Cheers mate. Was too good to turn down. My mates nicknamed our house the RRC (Renault rescue centre)
Cheers mate. Should be able to get it right for £500 ish i reckon with all new suspension goodies.
Both got silencers that dont do a lot. Extra van got black flagged at Donington for apparently 98.5db on driveby😅 Croft also reckon i triggered the driveby on a sighting lap a couple of years ago and retested me. Never got pulled in again was bizarre.
My old gtt with no silencers at all done...
1st few jobs done daft couple of hours this morning.
Bonnet wouldnt open without a 2 man job and bumper was badly fitted/ziptie special. Whipped front end off and adjusted bonnet stops etc.
Note washer fluid pissing out when filled and alloy intercooler poss forge.
Scuttle had a pond in it so...
Here we go again.
Got a random message off a lad i knew from years ago asking if i wanted to buy a car just before i went on hol. Initially said no, but because im an idiot i cannot just say no and a few beers in the sun in Turkey im asking for more info.
Was a bit of a slow starter after...
Citric acid works great. If heavily pitted twke out and wire brush and chuck them back in for longer.
The aftermarket outer arb bush brackets are prob better than oe
Common issue sadly and good job you noticed it. I bought a set when they were the rage years ago for boost hoses and have removed them all for jubilees due to them backing off.
Ive been trying to get the Kangoo ready since about March. Almost ready can confirm its running pretty well after tonights extensive data logging. Just another half day of small jobs to do 🤯🤞
