Sounds good, I still miss my Celica 190 even though it only lasted 20 laps. It just had character my VRS doesn't, mostly from that busy engine I think.
I'd love one of these as a track car though. First dibs when the time comes (seriously) ?
Also see you've gone nice and safe with the rear...
ABS light normally doesn't come on with an offset steering squib just the ESP light, tuning off traction control. Sounds like an ABS ring or sensor as the ABS light only comes on once the ABS CPU starts to pick up the sine waves from the moving reluctor ring(s).
Check for a build up of fine...
Aye can imagine down there. No f***s given it seems. I have a little joint now and again but wouldn't dream of driving having smoked one, never mind driving smoking one, lol.
Sounds like it will be up for sale again soon when he loses his licence, or upside down in a ditch in a haze of smoke.
Who drives around smoking joints these days! He might as well of had a can of Fosters in his hand as well. Seems the M135i is already attracting the Chav brigade!
Haha mine was quick release by the end it had been on and off that many times (all clips, brackets and bolts snapped), wasn't held on by anything and was still held in place securely. I could literally pull it off and put it back on within 30 seconds, lol.
Sounds like the ballast, try swapping them around and see if the issue moves side. If not try the same with the igniters. Bumper off is a 5 minute job and very easy to remove and put back.
Yeah the little trolley was great, borrowed it from work. Head was removed as it had dropped a valve seat so removed it to make the lift easier. You'll just need to lift a bit higher. Also place 2 axle stands on the rear beam to pivot the lift. I also left the lower engine/gearbox mount attached...
Easy as if you've got a few pairs of hands to help. My mate is pretty much lifting it on its own and I'd just got the mother out of bed to pull the engine and box out on the trolley, lol.
OP have you sat in an ST150 yet? As the seating position is fu#kin awful, just like my Mondeo ST it's way to high and it's like you're sat on the car instead of in it. I'm only 6ft as well.
Oh and sure ive got a set of ST brake carriers, callipers, discs and pads in the shed you can have as I...
Supposedly the ST150 is really restricted with the standard airbox and an open cone aids flow considerably. So that's a cheap mod. Also I know the Mondeo ST bigger callipers and discs are a direct bolt on to the ST150 so another cheap mod there. I'd stick with something like AD08R's or even...
Always better to start with the better spec base car and I bet there's not much difference in the purchase price between the two?
See plenty of ST150's on track and they go pretty well. I'd personal rather something a bit different than the norm like an ingis sport or swift sport both would...
I'm defo on this! Missed the last one due to a mates wedding and would have missed it again if on the August bank holiday as i'm getting married.
Hopefully i'll have something a bit tastier than the Skoda by then as well.
Cheap to buy, cheap to run, cheap to modify, good on track. What more do you want...well reliability would have been nice but I had my fun out of it nonetheless!
I'd be replacing it with a Cupra 300 DSG, understated looks, underestimated performance on the road and especially on track and probably £5k-10 cheaper than all the rest mentioned. In fact I'd buy a 4 year old 280 Cupra with extended warranty for £15k remap it and pay the remaining £15-20k of my...
