Bought a new cam/crank seal driver kit today after seeing autodoc reel on insta. Maxspeedingrods brand  only £35, looks spot on for the money/occasional use, looks to me like a copy of a sealey kit.
Localised boiling at the turbo when switched off is pretty common, usually doesnt cause too many issues.
Check for leaks in the cooling system, a small leak can cause stuff like this.
Megane rs have an electronic pump that runs when engine is off to circulate the coolant which ive always...
Spot on. Thats one less thing to piss about changing. Could do with a pair of cup lower arms as the ones i have here are reinforced and powerflex black bushes in, spares for the trophy might be a bit much for it

20k on the clocks, not been mot'd in years by looks of it. Always silver ones that seem to be low mileage.
Ha yeah had the garlands in forever, i think i automatically look round them now. They swing a bit when pressing on 😆
They caused a massive stir a couple of years ago at the mrs workplace when a higher tier manager tried to shame it health and safety wise on the corporate chat page taking a pic...
Small update. Got a few free kitchen units to fit in my garage. Infact a few too many as 2 van loads turned up! So had a few runs to the tip in the orange dci today.
On its arse!
Im having stupid ideas again and fancy 172/182 widetrack on this. I have a pair of 60mm hubs off the trophy and a...
Small update.
In the process of building the new engine up im putting the parts in place to run 197/250 vvt and full sequential injection. To do this, i need a trigger wheel on the inlet cam for cam position, and the 172 inlet cam does not have one.
First port of call was to remove a cam...
On the workshop manual for megane 225, it shows bead of sealant on the joints of main cap and oil pump cover, as its pretty much the same sump id do the same on 172. Torque the bolts in sequence.
Great job on the repairs especially if not done any welding before.
I too feel the same. Can bolt all the rest together but zero fabrication skills lol.
I have a couple of keys and receivers in the garage out of mk1 clios. They are poss paired up but i cant remember 100% as had them for years, no idea if working or not. I was going to ebay them off but if your interested give me a shout.
Airbag ecu can simply be changed for another no issues, apart from config may need programming to suit airbags.
You can also unlock/reset crash data on airbag ecu with Ren0link, easy to do if you have access.
Type d is ok that mixes with water no problem. Its them waterless coolants that require more prep, chances of ever needing to run them in a clio are pretty slim though.
From experience on the clios and megs, when you open the thermostat housing bleed bolt you can watch the water turn from clear to green when bleeding, so you know exactly when most of the water is out. Just keep topping the header tank up whilst bleed is open until its pissing a nice stream of...
