Great shots. Watched it on TV today, it's really not racing is it :) Half the drivers just seem to bash their way through the field, a few nice overtakes but mostly it was just madness. I went to see a Mini Miglia race yesterday at Castle Combe and 4 cars were literally bumper to bumper and...
Went for the first time today, in a word - awesome! Far too much to do in a day so I enjoyed the hill climb action and rally stage and missed most other things, didn't even really get around to seeing much static stuff. Will be going for two days next year! By the time I had left a Nissan...
Yep it will be for gaming amongst other stuff, got a Sapphire X1950 Pro 512MB GDDR3 AGP in my system at the moment and with the processor I currently have (Athlon 3000+XP) it easily runs everything I've thrown at it on nice high settings.
I need a new motherboard so I can update my processor. The following are required...
- Support for AGP graphics
- SATA
- 2x 1024MB DDR PC2700 CL=2.5 Unbuffered NON-ECC DDR333 2.5V
Any ideas on a good combo? Don't want to spend much (£100-150 max for mobo and CPU) and really want to...
On my ones (all the Smugmug hosted pics above) just change the end of the URL to O.jpg (instead of the current L.jpg) and you will get the full-res versions.
Panasonic TZ3 or LX2 imo, Panasonic are going really well in the camera market at the moment (try finding a TZ3 at the moment!), can't really go wrong with them.
Ours (Trowbridge area) is still "TBC". Although to be honest for normal web-surfing it doesn't seem to make much difference now I'm up at fairly high speeds anyway. Only online gaming and some download sites really seem to be noticeably rapid.
If you can't use a flash, and you are trying to capture action that fast, in a room with relatively low light...then put simply you are not going to find a compact that will get reasonable results imo. A DSLR with a 50mm 1.8 is the cheapest way I can think of capturing that action.
For...
Why does it matter yadda yadda yadda. Well it was an entertaining thread a few months back, and at the time a few moaners said 'post the figures in a few months when they are actually meaningful'.
Here goes...
USA - month ending May 31st 2007
DS - 423,000
Wii - 338,000
PSP - 221,000...
I use these batteries and they seem to last as long as the Nikon ones...

I got my remote control here:

Anyone seen this? Mind-blowing stuff imo, good to see what the future of photography/web is going to look like, the Notre Dame section near the end is amazing.

I went to view a Forest Green one last year somewhere near Oxford, was in a bit of a state though. Got the reg plate here somewhere so I will have to see what reg it is.
Surprised people are doubting the impact speed based on the visible damage. My first Clio was hit when stationary, the other driver had just started braking hard from 40mph so his nose was pretty low, cosmetic damage was negligible but I still had a bad neck and needed quite a bit of work done...
That's a shame, it's not as though the ITV have any interest in giving us any reasonable coverage. I notice they sent out a blanket email to all those who complained about the lack of press conference yesterday. They said it would be shown in the highlights package...it still wasn't!
Especially when you watch the grandstand vid as well, Kubica nearly had enough height to clear that first wall protecting Speed, his car and the marshals.
Yep those are the ones, harsh on the Civic.
On the subject of crashes, ever seen this one?

Pre-safety fence days!
Hell of a lot better than the rubbish I got on Saturday!
What shutter speed are the Esses exit shots? Look really good, just a shame that marshall post is there, I couldn't find a way of keeping it out of most of my shots either.
This vid is 'better', also shows how lucky the guy behind was not to get ripped apart by carbon fibre...

Apparently Kubica never lost consciousness either, I assume his safety training would teach him to stay completely still after an accident of...
Loving the car, are you local? Noticed the Merlin Motorsport sticker in the back.
I didn't get any pics of yours (I did, but deleted them as they were awful), had no need to get any keepers today so I was experimenting - mostly unsuccesfully.
