You were unmistakable Rich, Renault cap, 'look at me' white lens ;), good to catch up.
I think most of the ones here I posted are actually 1/80, I had a fighting chance with that where I was (on the straight between Old Paddock Bend where we met, and Tower Corner), it's actually easier at...
Great pics. I find it hard work in the sunshine, colours all over the place, glare off of the windows etc, a nice cloudly day is best :)
Was it busy? Looks reasonably quiet in the pics.
A few nice cars out on track today, the 172 Cup was insanely quick (appeared to lap most cars in his session) and the general driving standard seemed pretty good for an action day. Bit hot for me though, if it isn't raining it's stupidly hot at Combe, never an inbetween. Ended up watching more...
Warehouse Express - £250
Can't go wrong with them ^^^
I've never found it beneficial to go with the absolute cheapest place personally. Got my last few in London Camera Exchange (you can haggle a bit in there) and they are fantastic when anything goes wrong, replaced my faulty D50...
Re: SDV RIP
Christ, that shook me up quite a bit seeing these pics. more so than any crash pics I've ever seen here, god knows how you must feel.
Pleased he is ok, looked like a very very close call.
Not to fussed about a silly number of pixels, the sensor in a phone could never handle it. 2-3.2mp is more than enough. They should concentrate on offering some sort of manual control i.e. shutter speed, or has someone already done this?
I'm due an upgrade on my contract and although I have a W810i I hardly ever use any of the functions (just texting, calls and the camera)
With that in mind, which is the best phone for taking photos with? Preferably a Sony Ericsson one, there is one advertised on TV at the moment with a 3.2MP...
My old Cup with Carbon Splitter, they cost about £85 from K-Tec when I bought mine, gone up a bit since then! Easy to fit and I'm a complete idiot when it comes to car stuff or anything practical, just drill the holes into it and screw it in (self-tappers if I remember correctly, this was over 2...
Yep, haven't got much free time at the moment but will hopefully work through them in the next few days. Still got my loads to do (500+ pics) from the time I had off work last week.
Re: ph-otoshoot (ph-ifty6k ph-uck off)
You know if you change the URL of any image I post here to a 'O' at the end (instead of the L or M) you can get the original file?
i.e. http://chrisharrison.smugmug.com/photos/159125718-O.jpg
Re: ph-otoshoot (ph-ifty6k ph-uck off)
That was just having a quick play in Elements, liked the angle but there is something not right about it imo.
I like this one, mean...
Nice work Oms, I would be scared of flying those things. Thought about picking up MS Flight Sim (2002 had copters I think) for a practice, should only cost a couple quid. I remember it being bloody hard on that game.
I'm after a boat, the other half has a lake out on her land in Norway and...
Is it because you're a Telewest/NTL/Virgin subscriber? If so then Virgin have bought non-exclusive rights to the entire show, they should all be on Virgin Central (the free-on demand thing) fairly soon.
Re: ph-otoshoot (ph-ifty6k ph-uck off)
Here are a few of my un-edited efforts from the day...
Haven't really edited them properly yet or gone through everything, but the gallery is here and I will add a load more tomorrow...
Re: ph-otoshoot (ph-ifty6k ph-uck off)
That's what I was saying today, if I had bought one instead of a Cup I would have saved loads and would probably therefore still own it today...and had a nice interior!
Re: ph-otoshoot (ph-ifty6k ph-uck off)
Dude you stole my idea for a thread title, I planned that a week ago ;)
Apart from being a bit pissed with your "no pedestrian" concept in the last pic I'm well impressed with them mate. #3 and #4 are my favourites but there isn't a bad one in the lot...
Cameras are pretty much identical (first set: Nikon D50, second set: Canon 350D), difference is the lens in use...
- First set was with a Nikkor 80-200mm 2.8 AF-S (say goodbye to £1200+)
- Second set was with the 350D kit lens which only stretches to 55mm and isn't very fast
I've also...
I've just run the pics through an EXIF viewer and it says ISO1600, is that right?!
If so my tip would be to bring that down considerably. Other than that they are pretty good, I wouldn't expect you to find too much more out of the kit lens for that sort of photography. The last two panning...
Nikon Capture NX is incredible. Check out the 'Case Studies' bit on here...

I don't have it (yet) but had a trial once, it's so easy to make nice looking shots.
